After half an hour of staring battle with the blister packet of fever medicine in his hand, SIG finally decided to pop two capsules out of the foil. He then reached for the bottled water from the coffee table in front of him and took one capsule at a time with a swig. After which he leaned back on the couch and lay his nape on the headrest, still trying to find the will to move to the bed.
It had been two days since the incident in his small concert in Yongsan. Various articles had come out about it, most of which were speculative of a recent breakup from his secret girlfriend. But as any agency was legally bound to do, his agency had been handling everything on his behalf by issuing statements that stood by his account for his controversial emotional breakdown during his performance. Not to mention that SIG wasn't physically well enough to face the media that had been swarming outside the building of the suite. It was a good decision to hole up in a hotel in Mapo, after all.
But they're not exactly wrong, are they? He thought to himself when he saw the third article with a similar narrative as he scrolled through his phone, head spinning due to lack of sleep and the side effects of the medicine he just took.
This kind of situation would typically make him break into a cold sweat and scramble to find ways to debunk the allegations, given how dating rumors could impact his image as a celebrity. But perhaps because there was some truth to it this time, he didn't feel the need to make a denial statement. Besides that, he didn't have the heart to deny Youngie's existence in his life, no matter how short lived it was.
So he put his phone in his pocket and languidly stood up from the couch. He was about to turn in when he suddenly heard a beep coming from the main door. He knew who would come in but it still startled him when his young manager came barging in with his iPad to his face.
"Seo-sangsanim, you have to see this," the short-winded manager blurted as he handed him the device.
SIG sat right back to the couch and crossed his arms as he glanced at his manager with a reluctant look, as though his whole being refused to even touch the iPad.
