"You smell nice," Youngie scrunched up her nose as she smiled up at SIG after spraying him with a couple of spritz of the perfume she picked up from the bathroom.

Her compliment didn't really surprise him but he was glad that she liked this new scent

Her compliment didn't really surprise him but he was glad that she liked this new scent. After all, wasn't it her fault that he couldn't wear his favorite perfume for now?

"Can you guess what's in this perfume?" He asked with a grin, remembering their first encounter at the bistro where she accurately broke down the scent layers of his customized perfume. But at the back of his head, he was aiming to find out how far Youngie's condition had already progressed.

Would the perfume enthusiast in her overcome her defective memory?

Unsuspecting, Youngie held on to either of his arms then nuzzled the collar of his dress shirt to take a whiff. SIG swallowed a gob of air when her nose touched the skin at the base of his neck, and his hands instinctively pulled her closer as if there was any more space left between them.

"Hmm, there's Bergamot here for sure if not lemon because I can detect the citrus in it," Youngie started then took another whiff. "There's Jasmine and rose, and...Is that nutmeg?"

As he had hoped, she was able to tell the top, heart and base notes of his perfume again.

But when SIG remained silent with a closed mouthed smile as he nodded in response, it suddenly dawned on Youngie that she had just uncovered an inherent skill that she didn't know she had.

"You still have it in you despite your condition," SIG smiled happily.

"How did I do that?" Youngie asked, still dumbfounded.

"You're a perfume enthusiast."

"A perfume enthusiast?"

"You have a knack for breaking down the notes that make up a scent. It's very impressive," SIG explained.

"Jinja?" Is that why the smell of the chocolate cake seemed to have roused some of my memories, she wondered.

"Eoh. You showed it off when we first met. I guess you liked my custom-made perfume then."

"Custom-made? Is that custom-made?" Youngie asked as she gazed at the perfume bottle on the bedside table behind SIG.

"No, that's not the custom-made one. I bought it because the scent is quite similar."

"So, where is your custom-made perfume? This is the only one I found in the bathroom."

SIG contemplated whether to tell her that she broke the perfume bottle or not. As it seemed, that memory still induced some emotional pain in him. But in the end he decided to tell her the truth but left out the part about how she left without saying goodbye. It was their agreement after all, not to bring up anything that would lead to that subject.
