Her heels clicked on the wooden floor as she walked in, admiring the neatly stacked bottles of wine. One mistake her friend made, not telling her what type to bring out. She let out a frustrated groan and shook her head, scanning the shelves for one to pick out of them all. From Chateau to Vineyards, she picked out the Felton Road Pinot Noir Calvert. Long title, yes. Though these wine lovers are obsessed with texture and name. The type she had settled on seemed to be pleasing, she had it a few times before though not that often. Lyn herself didn't drink much in the beginning, she's tried a beer before but hated it. The smell, taste, everything about it she entirely loathed. Shaking off that thought, she moved back into the main front of the building where her friend was awaiting the bottles. Upon spotting Lyn, he rushed back over and quickly grabbed the case, mainly ripping it from her hands and almost causing everything to fall and break. "Hey! Careful!" She cried out in slight fear of the bottles breaking, especially since they would fall by her feet and possibly injure her. He simply shrugged and turned to the counter, setting the rack down on the space before pulling out one of the bottles. "Noir Calvert? Ew." He commented in a joking tone to which Lyn sent him a small glare and hit his arm. "Your fault for only having me grab it. You didn't tell me what type you wanted!" She protested in reply to what he had said. He laughed and shook his head with a soft smile, "Lyn, Darek, come on you both have customers! Instead of arguing about the type of wine, find out what our customers want!" One of the other coworkers had shouted at them, Cheril. Cheril was a bit of the bossy type, thinking she owned the place all because she was friends with the manager. Though Cheril had a point this time, she had to admit that at least.
While looking around, she now had the time to notice most of the decoration of the bar she worked at. Considering it had been a few months, she was ashamed to have just now taken in and admired it's beauty. She hadn't meant to be so oblivious, though she focused on her job most of the time to see and examine the lights hanging from the ceiling, how they looked like tiny chandeliers, she was starting to think that she didn't deserve to work in a place so beautiful. It's old paintings, the center of the bar having a small area just for a piano that currently had someone playing on it. Soft jazz, it fit with the building quite nicely. The bottles of wine, decoration choice of brown, it all mixed perfectly and made her feel right at home. The chatter of the people definitely made it feel much more like home, somewhere comfortable to her. She knew she wouldn't find any other place that could comfort her the most better than this part she had right in front of her. Shaking these thoughts off as she heard a voice echo, her eyes landing on who it was. A customer. With a soft apology, she had asked for the customer to repeat what they had said. Luckily, she hadn't gotten any grief from this small mistake. A wine, what the customer wanted. "Haha, my friend mentioned this place to me not too long ago and said the drinks along with food were pretty good, so I decided to come and check this place out for myself." The customer smiled in accomplishment as she spoke to which Lyn smiled back. "Yeah.. I would suggest our Mozzarella Sticks along with Quesadillas." She hummed out, the customer's face seemed to light up as they nodded quickly as if ordering the items already. Lyn chuckled a bit and smiled, "Please take a seat and I'll get your order ready." She hummed softly as she turned, quickly finding Darek.
