After a few more dances, the crowd seemed to become less and less before Darek came over. "Looks like you had fun, Lyn." Lyn smiled and nodded happily, her partner had left a few minutes prior to Darek coming over. He had bid her farewell and even offered her a rose he had kept concealed until the end of the dance. Staring down at it, she examined the blood red color, it set her heart aflame with hope. Hope for something new, something real. "Come on, the party is ending." Lyn, being pulled out of her daze, nodded and stood up. Following Darek outside, they got into his car and drove home. While looking outside the window, she thought of how nice this surprise was. However, Lyn was quite oblivious to the fact that there was yet another surprise awaiting her back in her apartment. Closing the door to her apartment, Lyn floated in without a care as she giggled to herself. She was smitten, that was for sure. Skidding her shoes off, she wandered down the hall to her bedroom. She set the rose down on her dresser before searching for some clothes to change into, picking out simple pajama pants and a tank top. After that, she left her bedroom in search of a vase in the kitchen. As she approached the room, she felt a sense of uneasiness building up quickly inside of her. Trying her best to ignore it, she continued walking. The coldness sunk into her bare feet as she stepped through the hallway, entering the just as cold kitchen. The light was dim, though what was off and terrifying was the figure leaning against her counter, wine glass in hand. She froze, staring in horror at the beast. It's head tilted, turned, glared. Piercing eyes seemed to burn right into her. Within a matter of seconds, it had moved. Taking small amble steps toward her. It took a while before she had gained her right to move again, instantly turning to run for it. Sadly, she was too late. With a yelp, she felt a tight grip on her wrist, pulling her back. Her face collided with the creature's chest, something about that felt familiar to her yet so scary. Upon looking up, she was met with a mask. One side black, the other white. She gulped in fear at the burning gaze, it was like looking straight at a bloodthirsty predator. Being stuck in her gaze, there was a shifting feeling before a tightness on her throat. The male slammed her back against the hard wall, knocking a bit of wind from her. A sharp gasp left her lips as she tried to scream, though no sound but the gasp had come out. Tears built up quickly in her eyes as she stared at him, "Do you want to play with me?" The voice was distorted, glitchy. She couldn't muster a reply as her vision turned an inky black, her senses dulling before going numb as her head dropped. She was surrounded by darkness soon after.
