Grabbing the knob, she twisted it and opened the wooden door, feeling the warmth already hit her along with the smell of cinnamon. 'Weird.' Lyn thought to herself, she didn't expect the smell of cinnamon in a clothing store. Either way, she soon forgot all about it as Darek's excitement seemed to come back. He grabbed her wrist and pulled her off toward where the more fancy dresses were.
Searching through the many options, from blue to gold, they had been searching for an hour or so before Darek picked one out. It was a long, white dress. It had lace that reached from Lyn's shoulders to a little above her elbows, more lace wrapped around her from her collarbone to the back. It was one of those off shoulder dresses, though it was quite pretty and looked well on her, Lyn stared in the mirror, seeing how her scarlet hair seemed to flow freely down her shoulders. Again she had to admit, Darek was perfect at picking outfits. Nervousness was clear in her expression as she looked, soon glancing at Darek. "Are you sure it isn't too much?" Darek laughed, "Too much? Lyn, I'm sure this mystery sender is going to be dressed up just as neatly, stop giving yourself such a hard time and let's get going!" Darek had seemed quite content with what he put together, even though it was only the dress, Lyn knew she was going to be in for a lot more tomorrow before the dance. After changing back into her own clothes, the dress was wrapped up carefully before concealed in a bag. Darek had paid for the item, saying that Lyn would owe him eventually once he wanted something. She was sure it was going to be something to do with her looks considering she doesn't let people do it for her, her hair, face, mainly anything. She didn't like feeling like it was someone else's job other than her own when it was a far more different situation, she had fears that caused her to miss out on a lot of things that she would possibly be enjoying if she would just lighten up. Just lighten up, not the first time that's been told to her and she was starting to realize just how much she probably should light up. But how? That's when it hit, she could use the ball as a means to lightening up and slowly melt into the idea! Of course she could, though could she continue on after the ball? Her worries seemed to come swooping back in like the cold, harsh snow outside of the building. She forgot all about that, for a while at least. Though now, she was faced with an enemy. The snow.
