Chapter 39

Your Pov

We entered the farm and the group ran over to us. The amount of people running our way made the horse jump back which made Camila fall. "OWW" a half asleep Camila says one she fell on her back. I let out a laugh and extend my hand for her to grab it. She grabs it and I pull her up. "You okay" I asked. She nods and gave me a kiss on the cheek. "Y/N!!! Your okay.... Oh thank god.... I shouldn't have agreed to left you look alone.... But al least your safe" Jake said pulling me into a hug. I smile and hug back. "Well I'm safe and I brought these two with me" I saw pointing at Albert and Camila. After everyone gave hugs and said how happy they are that we're safe I went to place the guns in the shed. Once I did that I looked around the shed. There's not much here. A broken bike our guns and a box. The bow was lightly open and there was something in it. I reached for it to open it. "Y/N YOU COMING?" I heard Camila yell. "YEH ONE SEC" I yelled and moved my hand away from the box. I exited the shed and walked over to the house. "Hey" Camila said walking up to me and wrapping her arms around my neck. "You okay?" She asked. I nodded and gave her a quick kiss. "Are you okay?" I asked. She nodded and smiled. "Come on..... They made food" she said and pulled me into the house. I saw people sitting around the house eating from their plates. Camila punched me onto the couch and she went to grab our plates. She came back and handed me a plate. I grabbed it and thanked her. She sat down next to me and I looked down at the plate. "Where do you get all the meat from?" I asked. Henry looked down at the plate then at me and stared for a second. "Animals" he said. "I know that but..... I never see you guys leaving to hunt." I said and he looked at Nick. "We...uh..... We go out at night, we don't stay out for long we have traps set up. We just go around and check each trap each night" Nick said not looking me in the eyes. "I can come with you, you know just to stay safe" I offer. "NO!! I mean..... We don't need help... It's just that, we set the traps up in safe places where there's usually no walkers...... We are always safe." Nick said in a panic. I study his face and he looked down and I looked back at my plate. "Don't eat the meat" I whisper to Camila. she gave a confused look and looked at her food. "Why?" She asked. "Just don't" I say. She looked at her untouched meat and nodded. "And tell Sofi not to eat it either" I say. She nods and looks at Sofi that is sitting next to her. She looked confused but nodded and moved the meat more to the side of the plate. I watched as everyone else ate it. "So... Uh.... What kind of animal is it?" I asked. "It's... Uh... Deer" Kim said. I just nodded and continued to eat the food. Once we finished I grabbed some of the plates and placed them in the sink. I walked out the house and it was already dark. "Hey come one, let's go to bed." Camila said softly grabbing my arm. "I'll be there in a minute, go ahead and get some rest." I said and placed a kiss on her forehead. She nodded and walked over to our tent. I jogged over to the shed and walked in grabbing a pistol. As I walked out I made sure I had my knife and then I ran over to stand on the side of the house. I stood there for what seemed like hours until I heard the door open and shut. I tried to hide myself as I stuck my head over the corner to see Nick and Kim walking out of the house. I saw them walking into the shed. I waited, once they came out I looked at their hands to see them holding some ropes and sheets. They walked into the woods and walked across the field and followed them into the woods. I followed them for a while until they stopped walking. "That's them" I heard Kim whisper. I looked to my side to see a guy sitting outside a metal gate. It looked like the gate is surrounding a camp. I watched as Kim and Nick sneaked up to the guy. The guy looked half awake. Nick walked up behind him and hit him with a baseball bat that I didn't see him holding. The guy fell to the ground unconscious and I saw Kim grabbing his legs tying them up with the rope. Then she tied his hands and placed a bandana in his mouth tying it around his head. "Come on, grab him and let's head back before they notice. Nick grabbed the man and placed him over his shoulder and they started to walk back. I ran back to the farm and stood on the side of the house once again. After maybe ten minutes they came back to the farm. This time I saw the guy trying to move. They walked up to the door and walked in like nothing happened. I stood there for a while thing what they're going to do to him. I walked back to my tent and when I entered I saw Camila fast asleep. I laid down next to her and pulled her into my arms. She groaned and turned around to face me. Her eyes were half open and she looked at me smiling. "Sorry for waking you up" I whisper. "It's fine" she said and pecked my lips. "I love you" she said pulling away and laying her head on my chest. I placed my arms around her and smiled. " I love you too" I said and placed a kiss on her head before slowly falling asleep.
