Chapter 40

Jakes Pov

I wake up and feel a body on mine. I look down to see Lauren. I smile down at her and look around the tent. I move Lauren off me and stand up. I guess the rest woke up already. We all share a tent with some one. Sofi, John, Dinah and Ally share one, Normani, Chris, and Isabel share one, Ryan, Max and Dylan share one, Lauren, Alex and I share one and then Camila and Y/N share one. I walk out of the tent to see Y/N walking in circles, as if she was panicking." Hey,What's up? " I said walking up to her and she jumped. "I...uh...I'm just thinking.... I uh... I'm thinking about...... Something." She said sounding worried. "Did something happen?" I asked now worried. She looked up at me and stopped walking. She grabbed my arm and pulled me away from the camp and into the middle of the field. "Last night I--" she started but I stopped her. "If this is about sex, I don't wanna hear it" I said and she gave me a discussed face. "No.." She looked around and then at me. "Last night I followed Kim and Nick into the woods." She said. "Why?" I asked. "Well I didn't believe them when they said that they go hunting at night." She said. "So... I followed them and I saw them 'kidnaping' a guy." She said. "What?" I asked shocked by what she just said. " And the guy is somewhere in the house" she continued. "Okay.... Do you need help with something?" I asked and she stayed quiet for a while. "Actually I do" she says. "I want some of you guys to get Kim and Nick out of the house for a run or something. I'll get Sofi to play with Abby. Then I'll get Ryan to get Albert and I'll figure something out for Henry." She says. I nod. "I can get Nick and Kim, I'll go with Lauren, Chris and Isabel." I say. She nods and looks back at the house. "Go now please" she says. She runs of to the camp and I run over to Chris and Isabel that were just talking. "Hey guys go get your gun and we're going on a run" I say. Chris nods." How many of us are going.... So we can get everyone's guns" he asked. "Uhh.... Me, you two, Lauren, Nick and Kim." I say and they nod and go to the shed. I then run over to my tent to get Lauren. Just when I get there I see Lauren already leaving the tent. "Hey wanna go on a run with us?" I asked once I was next to her. "Yeh sure" she said. We then walked over to the house to get Kim and Nick.

Your Pov

I watch as Jake leaves with the group. Once they're out of sight I walk over to Camila and Sofi. I explained everything to Camila this morning so she knows what's going on. i kneel down in front of Sofi and say."hey munchkin, how about you go play with Abby, I have to talk to your sister" I say and she nodes and runs off. I settle up and looked at Camila. "I got Kim and Nick out, now Sofi is taking care of Abby and I got Ryan to get Albert." I say. She nods." Now Henry" she sighted. "I don't think he'll be a problem. Before I go in the house I want to check the shed." I say. "Why?" She asked. "There's a bow there, as far as I know there's ropes and sheets in there, but I want to check just Incase." I say and she nods. "Do you really think they eat people?" She asked. "I don't know.... I really hope they don't, but I have a huge feeling that they do." I say. She nods and looks around. "I'll tell everyone not to eat the meat and explain why, and you go check out the shed." She said. I nodded and she then walked off. I checked around to see if Henry's around but he's not so I start to walk over to the shed. I'm scared of what I'll find there. Once I get there I look around once more before entering the shed. I spot the box in the corner and walk over to it. I grab the top and slowly take it off. I place the lid on the ground next to me and kneel down next to it. I take a deep breath before looking into the box. So far I see a sheet covering everything. Idea hymn hand into it and grab the sheet, I can already feel something under it. I pull it up and see roped and something under it. I pull the ropes up and place them next to me. I then stick my hand in but pull it back in once I feel pain on my palm. I look at my hand to see a cut across it. I lean my head in to see tons of knifes. I reach in again and grab the handle of the knife. Unfortunately they look like the knifes you cut meat with. The knifes that you'd have at a butchers. I place the knife back in and grab the ropes. Then I hear a bark. I turn around to see Duke barking at me. "Shut up!" I whisper and turn back to the box. The dog kept barking and It really started to get annoying. "SHUT UP!" I screamed without turning around. Well to my surprise he did shut up. I put the ropes in and then hear a voice. "Well, I don't think you should be looking through someone else's stuff, without their permission." I drop the ropes and turn around to see Henry holding a bat. "I...uh..." I stutter. "No need for explaining." He swings the bat over his shoulder. I try to move but I'm to late when I feel a sharp pain and then everything goes black.
