Chapter 2: Muscle Man

I stepped inside the apartment to see the wall as were lined with mattress materials and a desk in the corner with equipment on it, like soldering tools and equipment advanced enough to make the weapons we recieved.

"What do you wish to talk about?" She asked looking down.

"Eun-hyuk, the man who made the announcement over the speakers, is downstairs. He wants you to come downstairs and work with us, but a few of us think he's gonna make you work for him." I explained.

"No no no, I won't go downstairs." She chuckled nervously and walked further inside.

I followed to see the put a hole in the wall the rough shape of a small door only big enough for a child. They had combined two apartments.

"Who is he?" A lady asked and pointed a kitchen knife at me, she had appeared from around the corner and almost gave me a heart attack.

"My name is Hyunsoo, I'm a survivor from downstairs." I mumbled quietly.

"He's with me." She said and the girl just switched so fast, giving me a smile and wave with the knife, I nervously waved back with a weak and awkward smile on my face.

"What would you do then?" I asked, looking away from the threatening girl and back to the girl I was meant to find.

"Stay here with everyone." She shrugged and sat down on a sleeping bag, I sat down on the sleeping bag next to her and placed down my spear.

"Who's all here?" I asked.

"That's Binna." She said pointing to the threatening girl.

"Me, her, Binna's girlfriend Hana, Hana's brother Seongwoo, Seongwoo's best friend Sang-min, and my little sister Chaeyoung." She listed. I looked around and all of a sudden, as if they were magically summoned, they came in to view

"Hello." I smiled nervously and they just waved before gathering around us.

"Will you guys be okay?" I asked and they all nodded.

I walked to the door and undid the chain just to hear her voice again. "Thank you." She said. "For coming alone, and thank the music girl too... she didn't bust her way in." I nodded and took that as my leave and exited the apartment. But before I closed the door, I turned back and looked at the girl unseen.

"Whats your name?" I asked.

"Y/N, Hwang Y/N." She smiled.

"Well it was nice to meet you all, goodbye Y/N." I smiled slightly and as soon as the door closed you could hear the lock clicking into place. I snuck back off the floor and met up with Ji-su and Jae-heon during supper. I told them my findings and we agreed to keep them a secret from Eun-hyuk.

When I was going into the daycare to check on Jae-heon who was reading to Su-yeong and Yeong-su. I tried to walk through the door but Eunhyuk blocked my path, he put his arm up on the doorframe and I just froze and kept my gaze low.

"Take me to her." He said but I just didn't respond.

"I can't." I replied.

"Apartment 1412 and 1414, initials H.y/f/i." He stated.

"Then go yourself." Jae-heon stated, him and Ji-su came up from the daycare seats and defended me.

"So there is someone in 1412?" Yi-kyeong questioned.

"They mean no harm." Ji-su tried to reason with Eun-hyuk but he grabbed my spear from my hand and began to walk to the staircase. We tried to stop him but we all didn't want to touch him because deep down we didn't want to make him angry.
