A Maserati and a bike raced into the entrance of the Jeon Mansion. The two vehicles took a side each which was separated by the big waterfall in between. It almost appeared like a scene in a movie.
Jungkook wrapped his hand around the younger as they cheerfully entered the living room. Mrs. Jeon came running down the stairs to welcome them.
"Omo omo. Eunnie. My baby is home." The woman pulled her son into a longing hug.
You have grown so thin.""And you are still sexy and beautiful, Mom." Eunwoo winked making his mom blush.
"Darling, why is there a bad smell coming from the kitchen." Mr. Jeon chirped in still hooked to his newspaper. The ribbon his night dress open and his glasses lay on the bridge of his nose. If he looked down any further, they were sure to fall crushing down to the ground.
He jumped on his toes when his wife shrieked only to inform him that she left the cake in the oven. All the men chortled at her never-ending energy. The Jeons are wealthy enough to afford anything including the best chefs but Mrs. Jeon preferred to share her love with her family through the food she made. That's how she was.
"Welcome home son. Why didn't you inform us." Mr. Jeon said hugging him.
"I wanted to surprise you guys. And I guess it worked."
"It did you jerkass. I was so shocked to see you walk into the classroom and you just pretended like I didn't exist." Jungkook groaned. Mr. Joen not minding the language his son just used but he could already think of the way his wife would have jumped at the moment to discipline him. His ribs already tickling at the thought of the scenario.
"I am sorry hyung. I know how popular you are in that school since Mom made sure to fill me in with everything. I wanted people to know me for me and not as Jungkook's brother." Eunwoo spoke as he sat comfortably at the sofa. No part of the world could ever make him feel at ease as he feels right now, especially with his family with him.
Mr. Jeon watched his two sons interact and smile in appreciation. Although they were stepbrothers, they never behaved anything less than blood brothers. Jungkook's mother passed away when he was just a baby due to a brain hemorrhage. He thought he would never be able to love again but he met his second wife who was pregnant with Eunwoo at that time. As time passed, they learned to love one another.
Eunwoo was only a few months younger than Jungkook but treated him and gave him the honor of a big brother. He looked up to Jungkook and aspired to be as passionate as him but not above him. That's the extent of love he had for his older brother who is like a second father to him.
"Hmmmm. Mom. I missed your homemade food so much." Eunwoo moaned as Mrs. Jeon flashed a similar dreamy smile that she passed onto him.
"Then why did you leave your mom for America." She pouted pretending to be upset.
"I am offended. Was I not enough for you?" Mr. Jeon scowled at his wife.
"And why are you ignoring your other son," Jungkook added playfully.
"What are you guys saying? I love you all equally." She poured more soup into his bowl. "Eat more." She said ruffling his hair.
She turned to see her husband who was still pouting since all the attention of his wife was given to his sons.
"Ah. I give up on you three. All three of you are the same. Small little children in big buffy bodies." The men burst into ridiculous laughter as they enjoyed teasing her like this all the time.
The dinner was over and the small family was sitting in the garden drinking coffee.
"Where is Yina? I haven't seen her the whole day. As far as I know, she would come here like hundred times just to see Hyung." Eunwoo asked raising his brows teasingly at his older brother.
Jungook stood up abruptly and left the garden leaving Eunwoo dumbfounded. He checked his parents' expressions and he realized that he touched a sore topic by how tense they looked.
"Eunwoo. You will not talk about her in this house and especially not in front of Jungkook." Mr. Jeon told him calmly.
"But why, what did I miss?" He questioned. He watched as his parents gave each other a glance.
"Eunwoo dear, you have just arrived. You should rest and not wrestle your mind on such matters for now. When the time is right you will know it." Mrs. Joen explained to him but he was eager and desperate to know for now, all he could do was to let it go.
"Okay." He didn't understand but he would not push the topic any further until they feel the need to tell him.
