Chapter 19

Song Ji Hyo was mad. She was mad at that sharp eyed guy who stood her up. She was madder that he was sitting a few tables away from hers with a girl. The man infront of her was talking to himself as all her attention was on Joong ki and his date.

Her mom had forced her on a blind date saying that she is getting old and to stop fucking around. Yeah. Her mom knows her too well and only wants the best for her. Her date was a wealthy man. He had decent looks and was totally interested in her. But she did nothing but give him a boring hello since they met.

The man flinched when she stomped her fork on the table like she was stabbing the table cloth. Her eyes narrowed at the wench who was wiping the sauce from the corner of the clumsy Joong Ki's mouth.

The waiter had finally arrived with their order and her face scrunched more in disgust to see salad.

"I am sure you need to maintain your figure." Her date smiled.

She smiled back but damn was the man feeling chills on his spine when he saw red in her eyes with a fake smile plastered at the same time. He swallowed the empty air and with slow trembling hands he exchanged their dishes. The steak was now on her side while the salad was on his.

"I guess I need to diet more." He chuckled nervously.

He put the tomato cherry in his mouth and threw the spoon back in the dish. He pushed the chair backwards and stood up. "I am sorry but I just remembered an urgent appointment." He said and ran like he was running for his life. Ji Hyo smirked taking a sip of the red wine. This is not the first time she scared her dates away.

She took the final sip of the red wine and slammed the empty glass on the table. She got up and her heels clicked as she approached the other table.

"Hey Joong Ki." She said turning the most seductive tone in her tone.

Joong ki glanced at his date who was giving him looks of curiosity about who this woman was. He had noticed her the moment she entered the restaurant with her arm hooked with the other man's arm. He knew at that moment that he is going down. He couldn't ask his date to abruptly go to another date so he stayed and prayed for the almighty to be merciful.

"Hi Ms. Ji Hyo. Nabi. She is my colleague." He informed hoping this woman wouldn't cause anymore drama.

"Oh hello." Nabi smiled kindly.

"What are you saying Joong Ki? Tell Nabi that we are much more intimate than colleagues." She said stressing the 'much more' part. Nabi gasped and Joong Ki shook his head vigorously.

"It was nice eating with you. Goodbye Joong Ki." Nabi left leaving the frowning Joongi Ki to face the other woman.

"You hurt her feelings. Why did you have to lie?" He asked with distaste.

"And what about our coffee date. Was I not hurt that I had to sit there for hours only to be stood up."

"I am sorry but I never agreed to it in the first place."

Ji hyo was feeling the anger grilling her brain but she took a deep breath to calm herself.

"Is it not obvious that I want to date you."

The man was shaken by her boldness. Never in his life had he dared to say a simple hello to that one girl he liked in kindergarten and yet this woman just declares her feelings for the world to know.

"We can't"

"Why."

"We are colleagues and it would be weird. Plus we are complete opposites. You are very attractive-" He noticed a smug on Ji hyo's face. "- I mean that you are very attractive to get any man. Why me?"

"Because you are one hot guy who works hard to keep the sports team on top which shows how the same efforts will be given to our relationship. He never looks at a woman with any illegitimate intentions which means that you will always be loyal to me. He treats everyone with kindness and he never gives in despite the fact that I have tempted him to jump on my bones so many times. So Lee Joong Ki. I officially ask you on a date to our previous arrangement. Please." She made sure to soften her eyes to melt the man.

"Fine. But only this time."
