Life is really unpredictable. Just when you reunited with your father out of nowhere, a dear old friend was discovered in whose arms you were right now as he caressed your clothed back, pecking your forehead with butterflies kisses. The past hour, you and Jungkook stayed in a park talking and the things you learned from him was shocking.
Yina is your step-sister and your imposter. You don't know what to feel about her at the moment. She was practically living the life you should have and yet you are not angry. You are rather flogged with contemplation to whether you should enter your workplace or not. You glanced at Jungkook who gave an assuring nod, bringing your hand closer to his mouth and plucking his lips on the back of your hand.
"If you want, we can go back but if you don't face him now, you will have to one day. I am always with you hmm." You nodded breathing in and then with slow steps you pushed the door open, a tingling sound echoing the shop, and all the attention was on you and Jungkook standing behind you. Your father was seated on the chair, his eyes and nose red from crying and Hoseok seated beside him gazing at you both with sympathy. Irene and Taehyung were behind the counter and they smiled at you empathetically.
"I will be just a few tables away, okay?" Jungkook told you leaving yet another soft kiss on your forehead. Hoseok reading the situation got up as well, giving a pat on your forehead, giving them a moment of privacy.
You sat down infront of the man you resented, avoiding his desperate eyes, only looking at the familiar walls and a few customers happily enjoying their coffees in the cold weather.
"Angel." The name that is your identity and yet it feels so foreign to you. You sighed heavily and only keeping your gaze at your lap. Because if you looked into his eyes, you might melt. You had a beautiful family then why did he leave you. You still remember the scene where your parents were fighting and you watched them with your body hidden behind the wall with agonizing tears. You remember entering the house when heard yell, questioning your mother if you were really his daughter. What did your mother even do?
"I-I" Yoongi tried to begin a conversation but not knowing how. He had dreamed of this moment ever since he found you but now that you were infornt of he was out words. Overwhelmed to see his most beautiful creation, grown up from an adorable young girl to pretty lady with a tinge of his own resemblance in you. He wanted to hug you and pepper you with kisses but he knew he should be patient and calm.
"Why did you leave us?" You asked straight forwardly.
"Is that what you have been thinking all this time?" He asked with a low tone and you could sense the hurt in his tone.
"I never left. Your mother took you away."
"So now it's her fault." You snapped not knowing how you were breaking his heart with your attitude towards him.
"No its nobody's fault. Things went wrong and the woman I loved was compelled to ch-cheat on me." He swallowed the last words with a painful lump forming in his throat. Your eyes widened with surprise and you looked up for the first time to see the man searching for some warmth for him in your eyes.
"I forgave because I still loved my family. Your mother was swayed for a second and I knew it was just moment of weakness because I was always busy. I only knew that she contracted HIV when she left with you. Trust me. I did my utmost best to look for you guys and-and I have missed you every single second of my life." Warm tears fell out of his eyes as his lips quivered just by speaking.
You had always assumed otherwise and you were now hating yourself for thinking so despicable about a man you adored, loved and cared so much. You felt so selfish for thinking it was only his fault entirely and that it could be possible that your mother might have erred and that is why you saw your calm father so furious that day.
Even the most kindest soul would lash out harsh words in the heat of anger and maybe if you were in his position you might have questioned your spouse too if the child was his. Just because of one fight and one irrational decision by your mother, you made this man a vilian in your eyes.
"I am sorry. I am sorry because it was hard for you too." You were now in inconsolable tears as you apologized for things that was not your fault. You couldn't imagine how much he has suffered too. Your eyes turning soft for the man.
He pulled the chair closer to yours, taking your hands in his. He wiped your tears. "Don't cry. Like I said it's nobody's fault. Forgive me for the time that was gone. I love you." You felt an urge to hug your father in longing. Yoongi was just as eager to hold his daughter and let her know his deepest emotion of love that he has for her. He spread his arms wide and without a thought you let yourself engulf in his warmth as he caressed your hair nurturingly.
A touching reunion witnessed by all as Hoseok, Irene, and Taehyung wiped genuine tears. Jungkook smiled giving you knowing look from afar. The next hour, you spend with him talking about each other's lives, trying to forget the pain of the past and move forward with a promising future. He told you everything about Yina and her mother Ara with honesty and you understood his explanations. You did not tell him about the doings of Yina since this moment you just wanted it to be about you and your father.
"He stole my daughter." Taehyung whined suddenly looking at the father-daughter duo with pouty frown.
"Oh shut up, Tae." Irene hit the back of his hand and he just smiled at her like an idiot. Irene shook her head, knowing this bipolar man is always upto some drama.
Truth is never too simple but it eventually comes into light at the time most needed. Sometimes things happen, distance is created and misunderstandings arise in the form of an exam so that when you reunite you come off stronger than before. The love just grows more sincere if it's genuine and yours was genuine which is why two very important men of your life returned to your life once again. The first snowfall outside bringing a brim light in the darkness that prevailed before, purifying the hearts with a new shine.
