His Wanted Mate

Part 10: " Birthday girl.."

Today is that day, my birthday. I used to look forward to my birthdays, but as of this birthday it's not like that anymore. I woke up this morning feeling scared, I looked at my watch it was 8am, I slept very badly this night, I decided to stay in bed a little longer. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't stop thinking about the Ritual. I have a feeling that tomorrow my life will change completely.

Austin and I have been hanging out since I met him in the village and we get along very well, he is always by my side and I have to admit I started to like him. I even invited him to my birthday. Ruby is not very enthusiastic, she keeps repeating that he is not our mate, that he is not destined for us. But I don't care anymore. I learned that u have to live as if tomorrow does not exist. No one guarantees that I will meet my Mate tomorrow. I enjoy while I can.

"Good morning Birthday girl, I wish you a happy birthday!" Ruby said excitedly, even howling. I couldn't help but laugh. "Thanks Ruby." I got up because it's a tradition for me and Ruby to go for a run before my birthday breakfast. I went downstairs Aunt Dani was already making breakfast, my favorite eggs and bacon. "Happy Birthday my love!" My aunt said and hugged me so hard I thought she was going to break me.

"Bee, I love you so much, look how you grew up."
"Thank you Dani." I looked at her sullenly.
"Don't be sad Bee, today forget about everything, today is your day." She said. If only it were that simple ... I thought. "I'll try Dani. Ruby and I are going for a run, I won't be long."
" All right, sweetie, enjoy. When you return, you will have a birthday breakfast." Dani said excitedly. I just put a fake smile on my face and went out the back door and started to take off my clothes.

Ruby took control. We ran through the woods, the summer breeze was caressing our fur. I enjoyed. We really needed this. We reached the lake, Ruby playing and rolling in the grass as usual. She was happy. Even I started to be happy. Ruby suddenly got up from the grass and shook her fur which was full of grass and earth.

She spun around and sniffed the air. "Ruby what is it?" I asked her. "We are not alone."She ran toward the woods on the other side of the lake. She stopped in the middle, trees surrounded us. "I can't smell it, like he masked his scent but I feel it, someone is here." she said cautiously. "Ruby maybe its nothing, let's just go home, Dani is waiting for us." I told her convincingly. Then she turned and we hurried home.

UNKNOWN POV

It's been a week since I sent my son to get the girl. He hasn't called yet, bastard. I threw things off my desk frustrated because today is her birthday, I need to find her as soon as possible. * Knock * Knock. "Come in."
" Hello my Alpha. "
"Zendaya, what do you need?" I asked her. "What we agreed on. My freedom."she said. "Haha are you sure you want that?" I asked her with a smirk as I poured myself a glass of whiskey. "Absolutely sure. If it weren't for me, you probably would never have found a girl. I deserved my freedom." she said impatiently now.

"You're right, you deserve it." I took a sip of whiskey. Just as she turned to leave, I stopped her. "Zendaya one more thing ... " I took another sip. She turned looking me straight in the eye following my every move. I flew towards her with my werewolf speed and grabbed her by the neck. "You really thought I'd let you go so easily." She choked under my arm, then I broke her neck and threw her to the floor. "If you thought I was so stupid, think again." I linked my Beta"I need u to get to my son I need to talk to him. ASAP" I growled.

Austin's POV

My wolf Gray and I went for a run. I had to let him go wild a little. As we ran I heard a commotion by the lake. Last time I saw her there, I thought. We rush in that direction. And then I saw her rolling playfully in the grass. I watched her for a while, I felt like a voyeur, but I couldn't help myself. I adored that girl.

I saw her get up, and start sniffing the air, I knew she might feel me, even though I was masking my scent very well I couldn't risk her to catch me. I climbed to a tree and tried to be as quiet as I possible. I heard her running in my direction, thank God she didn't look up. She left soon after. This was close. Today is her birthday, I already bought her a present. I ran home to get ready, and to be honest I can't believe she invited me.

She said that it would not be a big celebration only for her closest ones, haa, I am among them the very thought of it put a smile on my face. I can't wait to see her, to hug her ...

Lana's POV

The guests slowly started to arrive, we sat down to eat, drink and talk about everything. It was pleasant, I even called Austin to join us. Somehow it wouldn't be right if he wasn't here. Sabrina and Laura bought me a curling iron for, since I didn't have one, Laura always did my hair with hers, and now I finally have my own.

Aunt Dani bought me beautiful red earrings that fit with my necklace. I was happy, I loved these people a lot. After everyone left home Austin asked me to talk. We went out on the porch in front of the house. "Now is the time for my gift." He said excitedly. He pulled out a small red box and handed it to me. I opened it and inside was a white gold bracelet with red rhinestones, similar to the one on my necklace. "Wow Austine is beautiful." My eyes was glowing. "Thank you very much." "You're welcome." He said as he stroked my cheek at the same time.

"You know, I'd like to give you one more present." He said and began to approach me, He took my cheeks with both hands and lightly and slowly pressed his lips to mine. He didn't want to push it, he waited for me to kiss him back, and I did, we kissed tenderly and yet passionately. Then I stepped back and we both smiled shyly. "Good night Austin."
"Good night beauty."
