Part 2: "Ruby, my She-Wolf.."

Lana's POV

After breakfast my Aunt Dani reminded me of the Ritual which is getting closer, and I honestly don't look forward to it at all. I am independent, I don't need a mate. I can take care of myself. "Shut up Bee I want a Mate." Oh yes that's my wolf, Ruby. She wants mate since I know she exists. It's slowly starting to get on my nerves with that love shit. "But Bee just imagine that we have a beautiful strong man by our side who will love us and take care of us?" Said Ruby, all melted in her crazy imagination. "Ruby you know that love bond crap doesn't exist, they just need someone to serve them for breeding and nothing more, I don't want to be a breeding cow. No offense to the cows." I told her annoyed. She looked at me angrily and started sulking. Ruby is in my head and I can communicate with her whenever I want, except when she gets mad at me so she blocks me and doesn't want to talk to me.

But I love her, she is Harley to my Joker. She is always there with me when I am happy when I am sad. She shares my emotions and we are two souls in one body. "You are my soulmate Ruby." I told her gently. "Don't get in my ass now, it worked almost." She said firmly. I rolled my eyes and let her sulk for a while, she would come to her senses. I hope..

"Lana, I have some wonderful news for you." Sabrina said all excited. Laura just had an ear-to-ear smile and was silent as her eyes were full of glow. "Oh no, guys what are you up to now?" I asked them nervously. every time the two of them were so excited there would be some shit going on, they would always get us in trouble.

Sabrina was a naughty girl, rebellious and she don't give a shit for others opinions, I loved her for that. Laura was more withdrawn and shy, she followed Sabrina like a lost little puppy. They were good girls, I've known them since I was little. We went through everything together. We shared secrets, cried together, laugh together, having pijama parties, damn i loved that. We were just here for each other. I couldn't imagine never seeing them again.

Sabrina turned 17 two months ago and Laura was 15. which would mean that Sabrina and I are attending the Mating Ritual together this year. And one more thing they were humans. They knew im a wolf but they didnt know i can shift already, That would blow their minds.
"Remember that sweet and irresistible boy who went to visit his relatives this summer?" She said all excited. "You mean Kevin?" I asked her confused. What he has got to do with anything. Oh yes I remembered, Sabrina was in love with him. "Well, he's coming back since the summer is over and guess what?" She asked me even more excitedly. "What?" I rolled my eyes in my head. Shit here we go again. "He invited us to a party, this Saturday. we are going, right?" She said a little scared, as if she knew I wasn't in the mood for parties.

Kevin isn't a bad boy, but I don't have a good feeling about him, something is fishy. That guy is kind of full of himself, he thinks he's the prettiest guy in the whole village, I wouldn't agree with that. He flirts with all the girls, so which one gave up first. He hadn't been here all summer, he was supposedly with relatives, but no one knows who his relatives are, he never mentioned them or talked about them or said who they were. There was something wrong with that guy. I don't have a good feeling about this, and my intuition has never fooled me.

"Don't be like that, go and have fun." Ruby added. "Maybe that's where we meet our mate and then you won't have to attend the Ritual." she laughed wisely. "Ruby, I told you I wasn't looking for a mate." I said annoyed. "You are not looking for a mate but I am, do not forget that you are not alone and that I exist." She said angrily. You're right sorry, we'll talk about that later. "But, but .." She didn't have time to finish, I answered her quickly and blocked her.

"Of course we'll go, without me the two of you would get in trouble." I told them. "You actually want to say we're going to get in trouble if you come with us?" Laura said playfully, and the three of us burst out laughing.
