Part 13: "The Mate Bond.."

Lana's POV

After the kiss, we barely parted. We headed in the direction Lucas had gone, Nick holding my hand the whole time we were walking towards the camp. Wolves stay there, before and after the hunt. They bring their Mates there and spend the night. As we walked through the woods, I remembered my aunt she knew absolutely nothing, was I okay, was I alive at all. "Nick .." "Yes honey?"
"Umm, I know you don't normally do that and I know it's against the rules, but could I stop by to see my aunt. She is probably worry to death." I asked him nervously. "Won't you run away from me? You know, I'd chase you to the end of the world." He chukled. "No, of course not, I want to go with you. I just won't be calm if I don't let her know I'm fine." I looked at him with puppy eyes, I knew he wouldn't be able to say no." I'll take you to your aunt's." I jumped into his arms with excitement, I really thought I would never see her again. Since I knew the forest very well, I started to lead, Nick followed me without letting me out of his arms. When I remember how stressed I was because of all this, and if I knew I was going to meet a beautiful and caring man, I would actually be looking forward to it. After a while we got home. I ran to the porch and knocked on the door. I heard footsteps inside the house and aunt yelling "Beee, oh my god Bee!!" She opened the door quickly and hugged me tightly, I couldn't even say anything. Nick was standing behind me. "Bee you're okay, I was so worried." "I'm fine Dani, I've never been better actually."She looked at me and then at Nick. "Is he..?" "Yes Dani this is my Mate Nick .." Then she hugged him. "Thank you to the moon for letting me see her one more time." Nick stood confused and stared at me as my aunt squeezed him. I thought his eyes would pop out of my aunts grip. I just chukle as I watched them. "Come in." Nick and I walked into the house and sat on the couch in the living room. "What is the procedure now? This does not normally happen for a girl to return home to greet the family before the wolves claim them.." my aunt staited.

"After we spend the night at camp, Lana goes with me to my castle." "Castle?!" I looked at him with wide open eyes and mouth. Aunt Dani was also in shock. "I mean I smelled you were Alpha, but the king ?!" she looked at him in shock. "I'm not a king, yet. My father is Alpha King Dareen .." My aunt and I were shocked and terrified at that statement. "Bloodthirsty Dareen ?!" Auntie exclaimed. "Bloodthirsty?: Nick looked at us, my mouth and eyes were still wide open, I couldn't process what he had just told us. "He invented this Ritual, where hundreds of girls have already been taken from their families. Yes bloodthirsty and merciless!" My aunt got up and shouted at the prince, at Alpha. man, that woman had some balls. "No it's impossible, I can't let you take her, not to him." She said firmly. I saw Nick's jaw and fist clench as if restraining himself from going wild. "Ma'am, please calm down!" Nick said as he stood up abruptly. "She is my mate if you really think I would let anyone, even my own father to harm her, youre crazy! SHE IS MINE!!!" He growled so loudly that the whole house shook, I thought it was going to collapse. My aunt could not help but obey the future king. He didn't have that kind of effect on me. "You can't talk to my Aunt like that. "
Now I was overwhelmed with rage, I come to his face and growled.

The mate bond still attracted me to him, but when I found out who he really was and who his father was, all those initial feelings of excitement were gone, I still wanted him, but I greeted the fear once again..
He touched me cheek staring into my eyes which now turned dark green. "Lana your eyes change color?" He stated. "No shit Scherlock." I was still angry. I don't care if he's an Alpha or King or whatever, no one will disrespect my aunt in her house that way. His eyes blackened, and he began to tremble as if his wolf would take control any moment. I was trying to calm down we were an inch apart and growled at each other,who would have thought that until a little while ago we had been kissing passionately in the meadow..

This mate bond is great. My mate and I are an inch from killing each other in my aunt's living room. "This was a mistake! I should never have brought you here!" He growled. "Lana you have 5 minutes to take your things, you really need and go outside! And don't even think about running away !!". He shouted, went outside and slammed the door. I looked at my aunt who was on the verge of tears. I knew I had to listen to him even though at that point regardless of the mate bond I didn't want to.

"Dani everything will be all right I'll visit you, you'll never lose me, I promise!" I hugged her. "Bee if you need me you know where I am. You can always reject him down, you know my love?" "I know Dani but I don't think Ruby would communicate with me anymore. I have to give him a chance." "Okay Bee, here are your things, I've already packed everything for you. Take care little one. After my aunt gave me the bag, I went outside. He was leaning against my porch there, beautiful and irresistible

We didn't say a word all the way, I could only see him out of the corner of my eye as he kept looking at me, I tried to ignore him and everything in this world drew me to him, but my will was stronger...

When we finally got to the camp everyone was already in their cottages, and then we arrived in front of ours. "Here, come in ..." he said gently without taking his eyes off me. I was still pissed off. "If you want, I'll sleep outside." I looked at him with pity and lowered my head. "Maybe I exaggerated after all?" I thought. He didn't add anything and headed outside. I took his hand at the last minute. At that moment, it was as if all the anger had disappeared from me, when i touched him..

"No of course not, I won't let you sleep outside, I'm sorry I overreacted." I said and honestly shocked myself. Did I just apologize to him ?! Wtf ?! "No Lana, forgive me. But the very thought that you won't, or worse, don't want to be with me brings me to the brink of anger.."I couldn't take it anymore. I jumped on him, hugged him with my legs and started kissing him, first slowly and gently then passionately.
