Part 4: "The truth will set you free.."

Lana's POV

"About my parents? What do you mean ?" I looked confused at Aunt Danielle, it was not clear to me what she wanted to tell me..

Aunt Danielle's POV

I have to tell her, she has to know the truth. I can't hide it from her anymore. It will eat me from inside. But how ? How do you tell someone that his parents were brutally killed along with their pack? How do you say you're actually Alpha's daughter ?? How to finally explain to her why she got her wolf at 15? How to explain all this ??

I know that the Ritual is getting closer and if Lana finds her mate, she will leave and never find out the truth. I was shaking, I felt nervous like never before in my life. I knew that I would hurt her, that the truth would hurt her and that nothing would be the same again.

I told Lana that her parents had been killed in a horrific accident and that I had been her legal guardian, and adopted her. Ohh my how many lies I told her. But I have to do it because I think if she doesn't find out the truth from me but from someone else she will never forgive me. I will not forgive myself. Dear God give me the strength to say it. "Aunt Danielle say it already? What is happening? Youre trembling." Lana asked me confused and nervous.

"Please Bee sit down. I'll tell you everything.
Do you know or do you remember why I call you Bee?" I asked her. She looked at me confused. "My mother called me that when I was little, a bumblebee, didn't she?"
"That's right. do you remember your mother, father or anything?" I asked her nervously. "Not really." She looked at me still confused.

"Bee your parents were not killed in the accident." I said it so quickly because I could not have said otherwise. "What? What do you mean?" she asked me. "Your parents were murdered." I saw her eyes fill with tears. "Twelve years ago, we lived harmoniously in a pack called Silver Moon. You are the daughter of Alpha Renard and Luna Tammy. You were 5 years old when it happened, it was your birthday that night. To this day I don't know who attacked us, but I know your mother did her best to save you, you and I ran away at the last minute, your mother then gave you the Ruby necklace you are wearing.

Lana you are special, we had to protect you. Your necklace is tied to your wolf but I still can't figure out why and how. You shifted in your wolf form at just 15, you're a female and it's just amazing and incredible. Your mother knew right away that you were special, and I know you are special and I am so scared of that Ritual."

I started shaking and crying, I hugged my bumblebee tightly. "Forgive me my love for not telling you, for hiding the truth from you, I just wanted to protect you. You know i love you very much. You are my Everything." I told her my voice cracked, and me? My heart fell to pieces ..

Lana's POV

My Aunt asked me if I remembered my parents. But after so many years, I don't think I remember what my mother looked like. She told me to sit down and she would tell me everything. Uff "This is going to be hard." Ruby commented but I ignored her I wondered what Dani had to say to me.

"Bee your parents were not killed in the accident. "She said nervously. "What? What do you mean ?? "Now I'm starting to panic. "They were murdered." My eyes filled with tears and I started to shake too, I felt nauseous in my stomach, as if I would vomit at any moment, and then Aunt Danielle continued her story.

Why does this sound so familiar to me I asked myself, trying to absorb all the information my aunt was giving me."You are the daughter of Alpha Renard and Luna Tammy." Alpha ?? Is that why I am so strong and big? I didn't know how much more truth I could bear. "You were 5 years old when it happened, it was your birthday that night." They died on my birthday ?! this is too much, I have a feeling I'm going to explode.

"To this day I don't know who attacked us, but I know your mother did her best to save you, you and I ran away at the last minute, your mother then gave you the Ruby necklace you are wearing." My necklace, I thought. I hold the necklace and looked at it. Then it was like a flashback when I seen my mother for the last time giving me a necklace and telling me she loved me. "Lana you are special, we had to protect you. Your necklace is tied to your wolf but I still can't figure out why and how." I asked Ruby if she knew anything about all of this? She was silent she didn't answer me.

"You shifted in your wolf form at just 15, you're a female and it's just amazing and incredible. Your mother knew right away that you were special.." At this moment various emotions were circulating in my body, from hatred, regret, sadness, anger. I was screaming. I started crying, my aunt hugged me tightly, and said she loved me but I didn't listen anymore.

I got up, I had to get it out of me, I couldn't take it anymore. Ruby took control and we started running, faster than ever before, I heard Dani shout that she was sorry, and that she loved me, but I couldn't listen anymore. I needed to be alone, think about everything. I know my aunt is not to blame, she is a victim just like me.

This conversation is not over i want to know all the details, everything she knows I want to know. But now I need to run, get rid of all the negative energy, and gather myself. Focus on the important. I asked her again. "Ruby, do you know anything about what Aunt Daniele told us?" Suddenly Ruby stopped. There was silence. Ruby was still in control.

"Please Ruby Im beggin u, you said yourself that we are one, two souls in one body, and that I exist too. Please tell me i deserve to know the truth." I was screaming inside of her mind, I could only hear my wolf, my fearless wolf whimpering and crying.

"Your mother couldn't conceive. So she asked for help directly from Moon Goodes." Ruby said sadly. "So?" I asked her impatiently. "Lana even your aunt doesn't know about this, I don't know if I should... "She didn't even finish, I cut her off. "Ruby, tell me everything or else, I'll refuse to talk to you ever again, youre my best friend, my soulmate, I deserve to know, do you understand me?"

"Ugrhh fine." She said nervously. "Your mother had a deal with Moon goodes."
" What deal Ruby?"
" She will help her get pregnant if ... "She paused for a moment as if gathering the courage to finally tell me. "Your necklace Bee. If it weren't for the necklace, it wouldn't be me either." I was shocked. "What do you mean it wouldn't be you ?!"

"Luna Tammy and the Moon Goodes had an agreement that Luna would get pregnant but that her child would not have a wolf, that he/she would be a human, the child can have a wolf only if he/she wearing this necklace." Ruby said, sounding desperate. I couldn't believe it. "Don't say that. I can't stay without you, you're my half." I told her feeling devastated.

"Lana, you can't tell anyone that, because someone will use it against us. The necklace is only valid if you wear it." She said. "It's only our secret Ruby, I don't agree to live without you." I told her, my voice was shaking. "How do u know all of that?" I asked her curiously.

"Im a Wolf we can communicate with Goodes, she told me that before I even became yours." She said. I felt desperate. My heart sank at the very thought of losing Ruby. She is the part of me without which I literally cannot survive. Nor do I want to. No one should ever find out about this. I will carry this secret with me to the grave..
