Part 20: The Plan

Lana's POV

I don't know how much time has passed since I was trapped here, but it seemed eternal. I kept thinking about Nick, I couldn't forgive myself for him not marking me and claiming me. I believe he feels the same way. Then my mother is here next to me, just 2 feet away, I thought she was dead, the thought that she was alive and that she was with me kept me from going crazy. I just wanted to hug her, hold her, I missed her so damn much. I don't know what exactly Austin is up to with me, honestly I don't even want to know. Whatever Ruby and I have a plan. At least something..

I didn't know if it was morning, evening, or noon, like I was lost in time and space, it was confusing. They did not allow me to talk to my mother, in case we arrange a rebellion against them. As the minutes passed I became more and more nervous, exhausted.
"Bee? Bee? !! Can you hear me?!?" I heard a voice in my head, as if someone was trying to communicate via a mind link. At first I heard faintly and vaguely, and then it get louder and louder, until I recognized the voice. "Mom?! How?!"
" Bee I've been trying to reach you for 12 hours via mind link, finally!" She sounded excited. "Bee listen to me carefully, this is very important. They'll come for you..." I could feel the chill run down my spine, I knew who she was talking about. "I'm not sure what they're up to because they know you're the strongest female werewolf there is, hell thats why you're here .. If only I had never taken that necklace .. "I could feel the guilt and regret in her voice. "Anyway, when they come for you, you have to take off the necklace, throw it next to my cell, I'll keep it and give it to you when this is all over, you'll have to trust me."

"No, Mom. I'm going to lose Ruby, I'm weak without her." Tears streamed down my pale cheeks. "Bee listen to me, you have to trust me! You're actually weak with Ruby because that's exactly what they want, when they realize you don't have a wolf they won't benefit from you, they won't be able to mate with you to awaken your full power!"

My mom was persistent, but she was right. "Won't they kill me if they don't benefit from me and they realize I don't have a wolf?" I was still skeptical. "They won't believe me, because everyone knows who has her, and they'll be confused, trying to figure out where she disappeared and that will give you plenty of time to escape.." Bee she's right, definitely a better plan than ours." Ruby added, she didn't sound overjoyed at the idea, but it made sense.

"Okay mom, Ruby agrees with your idea. When they come for me, I'll throw you a necklace, keep it safe please." I said looking at her through the bars of this cold cell. She nodded, and I nodded back.

Nicholas POV

"I'll kill that bastard !!" And the whole desk flew over my office. I was furious. "My blood and flesh, my uncle has my mate. My love I had been waiting for 7 years, and he took her from me. Why didn't you kill him?!? Ha ?! Why? Because he's your brother ?! Because he's family ?! He's scumbag trash and you let him get away with it !!" I shouted at my father, feeling immense disappointment. "What things look like, he probably killed my mother, just for the sake of power !!" I started aggressively throwing everything I could get my hands on around the room. "Nick calm down! You think I'm not aware of everything that's happening ?! That Im not angry and furious?! Don't I want to break his neck here and now ?! I want more than anything and I will, I can promise u that, but I know from experience that we have to play this smart !! We can't just enter his territory and take Lana like she's a fucking toy. He has witches with him !!

My brother is evil and ruthless but not stupid. We have to be smarter than him or we'll put Lana in danger. That's why I'm telling you for the last time, calm down, after we save Lana, you can blame me for everything as much as you want, but now we need to be clear-headed!"

My father was right, I have to compose myself. I get out of the office and went for a run to gather my thoughts. I missed her so much, her scent, her lips, her soft skin, her eyes. She must be so scared. The very thought of someone hurting her drove me crazy. Tears soaked my fur, Kane was unrecognizable.
