Part 17: "Gone girl.."

Lana's POV

I couldn't help but think about everything. I thought my head was going to explode. I could no longer bear the nervousness that ran through my whole body. I'm wanted. Precisely because of what I feared the most. Mating. Why? That someone would have the strongest puppies in the world thanks to my wolf.

But I was destined for the king which made sense. King Dareen made sure I was safe, I was constantly accompanied by at least 2 warriors wherever I go. I was not allowed to run, which drove me and Ruby crazy, we weren't used to it.

Nick was with me as much as he could given the paperwork he had to deal with regarding the kingdom. I spend most of my time with him, but it was killing me. Since I found my mate and he hasn't marked me yet, I was in heat, which was quite painful and I could barely cope with it.

It was easier for me when I wasn't by his side. I spent most of my time in an ice bath to calm the heat, but even that is not a permanent solution. There were 2 more days left until the ceremony, when finally my agonies should end and I would officially become queen. I am currently vulnerable, mostly due to the heat and desire for sex.

I tried to call my Aunt Dani but she didn't answer the phone. I've been calling her for two days now and I can't get her. I started to worry. Sabrina was often with me, we would watch the TV. But she didn't come today as we agreed. I decided to look for her. I went to her room and knocked. "Sabrina? Are you in there?" I knocked even harder because I could smell her. But I smelled something else .. Salt ?? Is she crying? I opened the door of the room and told my security guards to wait outside.

"Sabrina ??" I called to her one more time and then I heard sobs from the bathroom at the end of the room. I knocked on the door. "Sabrina? Are you OK?" She abruptly opened the door and quickly dragged me into the bathroom. "Shhhh!" She put her hand over my mouth. "Lana something happened to our families in the village." She was crying and sobbing, I was trying to calm her down.

"What do you mean? What happened?!" I started to panic, because I know that my aunt hasn't answered the phone for two days. This cannot be happening. "I got this letter this morning. Lana, what are we going to do?" she said her eyes were red from crying. I took the letter from her hands. "Sabrina and Lana, your dear family members have been kidnapped, you have 24 hours to pick them up, if you don't we will kill them and send their heads to your castle. Likewise if you inform the King about this, then we will send them in parts. With love, your future mate." I covered my mouth with my hand as I emotionally explode into a thousand pieces. We both cried, trying to comfort each other. "We have to tell the King and Nick, if we go alone we're done, we need help." Sabrina said inconsolably. "No, I know what they want ..." I said in panic. I knew what this meant. Luck is not destined for me, but I love Dani too much to let anything happen to her.

"What do you mean you know what they want?" Sabrina asked me confused. "Me. They want me." I sat down and told Sabrina the whole story. About me, Dareen, Ruby. She looked at me in shock. "I can't let you go Lana, if you leave you'll never come back." Sabrina said through sobs. "I have no choice.." I started crying, tears burning. I knew what I had to do..

I told Sabrina I was going to my room. I hugged her tightly, as if saying goodbye to her. That was a goodbye actually, because I'm leaving tonight.

I went to my room and tried to call Dani one more time. She didn't answer. FUUCK! "Ruby what should we do? I'm afraid."
" I know Lana but we are the strongest in the world we can beat them we have to get Dani out of there." Ruby was furious. "If they catch us, do you know what that means? I know, but I also know I will never leave you. We are stronger together. But we have to be smart Bee .."
" We have to leave before Nick comes, to him I can't lie. I just don't know how we're going to get past the security guards."
" I have a plan, Bee." she said and took control tearing my clothes apart. AGAIN. I sighed. What are you up to, Ruby? Rubyyy?!?! ??" She took a run from the end of the room and jumped out the window. "Aaaaaaaaa!!"I started screaming in her head, I was afraid of heights and yet it was the fourth floor. She got to her feet and set off at full speed towards our village..

Nicholas POV

No way to end up with these damn papers. I just want to be with her and marked her already. To ease her pain. I have been having a bad feeling all day today. Kane too. It's easier for me when she's with me after everything we learned a few days ago, but it's harder for her.

I tried to concentrate on the job to finish as soon as possible to be by her side. "You have to hurry Nick, I have a feeling something is wrong." Kane said worriedly, and he was never worried. "Fuck that." I tossed the papers and walked out of the office, I had to make sure she was okay. I paced briskly toward our room. I tried to smell her scent but I didn't feel it as intensely as usual. I quickened my pace even more until I finally reached our room. The guards stood in front as ordered.

I opened the door of the room. "Lana ?? Lana ?! Lana?!?!." I called her in a panic but she didn't answer. Fuck, fuck !! I felt a pain in my chest. Kane let out a sad howl, that the whole palace was ringing. "Nick what happened ?!" My father asked me via a mind link. "She's gone!"
