Lisa and Kookie are doing a victory lap in their excitement as Hobi has a silly smile plastered on his face watching his wife's joy as I wonder what the fuck just happened. I take in a breath and realize how deeply my best friend loves his wife and how much Lisa loves and needs her babies. Just as much as Kookie and I need each other and love our babies. Our children are blessed to have all of us. One thing for sure is that they will know they're loved. It's something I never had and something I will make sure that my children have.
"Lisa please don't ever ask to hold your babies again. You're their mother," I tell her as her eyes water, and she looks down at our daughter. Our baby girl reaches up her hand as Lisa lowers her face. We all watch in awe as she touches Lisa's lips with those tiny little fingers.
"Those are definitely Lisa's hands," Hobi says as we all smile. "Do you guys want to know which of our gorgeous twins has your DNA.?
Kookie and I look at each other.
"The first one that starts decorating the nursery and entertaining the stuffed animals will be Kookie's child."
"Hahaha!" I laugh as Hobi, and Lisa join in and Kookie chuckles a bit.
"I think in time it will be obvious. You know, behaviors and physical attributes," Hobi says.
"Well, I want to know, and I don't. It won't change how we feel about them," Kookie say.
"That's true. We love them equally no matter what," I say as Lisa nods in agreement.
"Lisa are you ready to present our children to our closest friends?" Kookie asks.
"Yes, I am. You know Jimin called me and gave me a royal cussing out about having him wait to learn our babies' names."
"Yeah, I got that same cussing out, but he can wait."
"Kookie, they look adorable in their outfits. Look at my little princess," Lisa says as a tear moves down her cheek.
"Lisa I'm so happy that you helped me make this selection. Tae was of no help in this area. He like a fashion nightmare," Kookie says.
"Uh, you do know I'm in the room still!"
"Oh Tae, you know you suck at fashion."
"Then why ask my opinion?"
"I told you. I wanted you to be included," Kookie says as Lisa and Hobi laughs.
"God help me with you two!" I say shaking my head from side to side slowly as our first guest rings the doorbell.
I answer the door, and it is Sehun, JB and Tannie. JB says hi and congratulations quickly and runs over to the babies. Tannie jumps out of JB's arms and runs right over to Kookie.
"Uh my boyfriend is a bit eager," Sehun says. "He's talked about little else all week."
"Tannie!" Kookie shouts as he stretches out his arms and leans forward as Tannie jumps into his arms.
