Tae's POV
Jackson and Sehun are sleeping, as I finally start to relax when Kai when Kai flops into the seat next to me. I startle a bit and then smile as he laughs.
"Dude, relax, we're on autopilot. This jet can do everything including land itself. Hahahaha! Don't worry I won't do that. It freaks people out when the pilot is sitting next to them while the plane is descending." I forget that I'm being flown home by the best pilot in the world.
"I certainly see how someone might freak out about that." I chuckle.
"Welcome back, buddy." He pats me on my back.
"Kai, thanks so much for coming to give us a lift home. This means a great deal to me and..."
"Tae we're good friends. Please don't thank me for doing this. I was happy to do my part. I'd do anything for you and those dudes," he says looking over to Jackson and Sehun. "I could never thank you enough for what you did for me and my family." I nod and smile to acknowledge I understand.
"How'd you know to be ready? South Korea is 4 hours away. You had to be in the air to get to us two hours after we missed our flight." Kai laughs and then shakes his head.
"It was part of the backup plan. If you missed your flight, then I'd know." It still does not explain how he picked us up so early. I listen with anticipation of hearing more.
"Tae, others would not believe this, but you'll understand." I'm intrigued as I sit up straight. I trust Kai and I know what he is about to tell me will be true.
"Jong-woo told me to be ready if you missed the flight. I had the jet ready to go and was waiting for his call. Several hours before that, Bai wakes and comes running into our bedroom very panicked. She told me Umi and Mini needed their papa and I had to get him. I looked at my husband who smiled and said, 'Sounds like you need to leave early.' So, I did. I was halfway en route when Jong-woo radioed me that you missed the flight." My mouth falls open slightly. I'm more amazed than shocked hearing Bai's ability.
That adorable little girl has the gift of sight. Kai and Bam-bam don't like to talk about it much or bring attention to it. If she were my child, I'd feel the same way. I never told Kai how Bai visited with me in a dream and helped me face my abusive father. I'm always intrigued when he is willing to talk about his special little girl with a very special gift.
"Tae it's been about a year since she has communicated anything special. So, her dada and I have no idea when she might have what we call a remarkable incident."
"Kai, it always seems to be around helping others." I share as I think of her past remarkable incidents.
"Yes, Tae. But it's those that she cares about deeply. Like me when I was lost and in a hospital with a coma. She also told me she visited you." I looked down, caught off guard and embarrassed.
"I'm sorry. I wasn't sure if it was appropriate to share that."
"Tae, it's okay. Bai is a child. Hahahaha! She tells everything. I tell you only to let you know how much she cares about you and Jungkook. And she absolutely loves Umi and Mini. She's convinced that she and Umi will be soulmate besties and I'm sure they will be."
"Umi is crazy about Bai," I say. She's like her big sister. They are really cute together." Kai shares how excited Bai is about the twins' birthday party later today.
"Tae, Bam-bam and I have something we never told you and Kookie." My ears are open, and I lean forward eager to hear what he's going to share.
"Do you remember the first time Bai came and met the twins?"
