since jack had left almost and month & a half ago, athena found herself spending more time at her parents house with aria. harper liked being there and quite frankly, so did the older girls. their mother liked having the girls around and wished adonis would join them, but he was still upset with his father and would rather not bring that up around harper.

"so, hows jack?" janine, their mother, asked as they sat in the living room while harper played in the middle of the floor.

"he's good." he had a show in st. louis in a week that they had planned on her going to, but with everything in the media about him with fans she didnt know if she wanted to go or not.

"what she means to say is," aria begun looking to see if harper was listening before continuing in a whisper, "he'll be 3 hours away in a week and she was gonna go."

"im sensing a but here."

"but, she reads these articles online about him being seen out with other girls and now feels some type of way about it."

"wait i thought you weren't dating?" janine asked, now confused.

"they aren't. they're friends, for harper's sake. athena just caught feelings"

"does he know?" athena shrugged and tried to change the conversation. "well if you don't tell him, he's gonna act like he's single-"

"because he is." aria continued. athena was annoyed with her sister but knew she was right. how was he supposed to act if she never explained her feelings?

"speaking of" athena said lifting up her phone to see him calling, "i'll be right back"

"hey" athena said as his face showed up on the screen.

"hey. what're you doing?"

"im at my moms with aria."

"oh, harper with you?"

"always." he nodded and they fell silent. "did you need something?"

"i wanted to talk. tell you somethings... ask you somethings" athena could hear someone enter the hotel room and he quickly put himself on mute. then she saw druski come in frame with urban behind him, jack still on mute.

they left after a few seconds and he unmuted, "like i was saying-"

"can i ask you a question?"

"go ahead."

"i was wondering who you've been out with because there have been multiple posts of you with multiple girls."

"thats what i wanted to talk to you about. nothing has happened with any of them, but i wanted to tell you directly. and i wanted to ask you how you felt about it because if there's no longer any feelings for me-"

"jack, i've loved you since i was 14 years old. theres always going to be feelings"

"okay, but more than me being harpers dad feelings"

athena was quiet. she really had to draw it out for him, "yes, more than just you being harpers dad feelings" she watched as he smiled, blushing hard too. "did i just make you blush?"

"lets move past that.. so you're saying if i asked you to be my girlfriend, you'd say yes?" athena nodded, "are you still coming to st. louis?"

"bringing harper?"

"yes"

"aight, i'll se you then momma"
