halfway through the concert, athena and harper made their way backstage. she was tired of holding barricade and having harper on her shoulders at the same time. so when jack looked back to where they had been before, he grew worried that they weren't there anymore. then he saw them sitting on the side where no one could see them.

toward the end when urban joined him on stage, harper decided to take a run out there as well causing mass confusion for everyone in the crowd but she jumped right in jack's arms and he carried her around until the last song of the encore was over. athena sat side stage mortified at what had just happened and waited for them to come back.

"harper you can't do that." she scolded the girl as jack walked toward her.

"it's fine-"

"what the hell was that?" jack's manager asked coming from the other side of the stage where he had watched the whole thing happen. "i said they could come, not run on the stage and let the whole world know they were here."

"its fine. bro chill out." jack said walking away with him to get yelled at even more. athena grabbed harper's hand and followed urban to the green room and waited for jack to come in.

"apparently its bad publicity for a kid to run on stage, especially if no one even knows whose kid it is." urban said flopping down next to athena. harper stretched her feet onto his lap and her head on athena's lap. "oh well i hope you're comfortable." as he spoke jack came in with clay and sat across from them.

"he's such a dick."

"you need a new manager" clay added.

"what happened?"

"he got mad about harper running on stage. asked how i was gonna play that one off."

"you have friends. plenty of them could have kids-"

"i dont want to do that. she's mine" he looked to athena, both knowing exactly where he was going.

"jack-"

"i won't, if people start asking i don't want to deny it"  athena nodded. she knew it would end up like this anyway.

later at the hotel while they had their first movie night since he left, jack casually asked athena to be his girlfriend. she of course said yes.
