3rd Person POV:
Blood continuously runs down from the fatal injury inflicted on Y/N, who's currently struggling in vain to free herself from the spear launched into her chest before completely losing consciousness.
Sloth: (letting out a psychotic laugh) It's finally over! She's dead! Dead! Dead! Dead! I can finally get back with the other deities! You see my lord I'm no longer a lazy fool because our traitor has been killed by me!
Meanwhile, within Team JNPR'S dormroom Jaune is seen sleeping alongside his teammates as it's the dead of night.
Jaune: (sleep talking) Waffles...
Suddenly, Jaune's scroll suddenly starts ringing forcing its owner to wake up.
Jaune: (seeing Ruby is calling him) Hello?
The blonde is met with only loud static alongside a few muffled voices.
Jaune: Uh, Ruby?
The call abruptly ends as Jaune is left confused from what just occurred. Later on, Team JNPR walks at dawn towards their Bullhead.
Pyrrha: I'm sure they're fine.
Jaune: You think?
Nora: Probably a butt dial...
Ren: Team RWBY has always performed exceptionally in the field. We should be focusing on our own mission.
Nora: We're gonna be deputies!
Jaune: I just got this feeling... I don't know.
Pyrrha: Jaune...
Suddenly, alarms ring out as they see the city up in smoke.
Jaune: We're changing our mission. Everyone on board!
As the team heads toward their Bullhead, Jaune does a headcount.
Jaune: Ren, we'll make it to that village another time. Take us into the city!
As the Bullhead takes off, Mercury, Cinder, and Emerald are seen watching the scene nearby.
Emerald: You don't think...
Mercury: Sure looks like it.
Emerald: That's still days away!
Mercury: So? What do we do?
Cinder contemplates her decision before she faces her comrades ready to make her decision.
Within the city of Vale, Team RWBY is surrounded in the middle of the pavilion by Beowolves, Ursai, and a massive King Taijitu. The large Snake Grimm unleashes a mighty roar, signaling its fellow monsters to attack their enemies.
Ruby plants Crescent Rose on the ground before kicking away the Grimm, Yang propels herself upwards, performing aerial bombardments with Ember Celica on the Grimm before three Giant Nevermores send her crashing to the ground.
Blake slashes a Beowolf with Gambol Shroud before firing on the other approaching Grimm. Weiss slashes three Beowolves, before summoning a glyph to conjure up an ice blade while Yang sends several cars flying towards more of the Grimm.
As Ruby finishes slashing at a Grimm, she notices the King Taijitu ready for the attack, until she also sees Nora flying on Magnhild.
Nora: (smashes the Grimm's head in using her hammer) Nora smash!
The rest of Team JNPR make it to the scene ready to fight.
Pyrrha: (leading the charge) Let's move!
