Chapter 21: Troubled lives

Kadence's POV
"Today I'll be an official trainer!!" I exclaimed coming out of the bathroom with a towel wrapped around me. "That's amazing" Zachary smiled with "I want to sleep" look written all over him. "You can go back to bed you know?" I laughed and he refused. "No I'm seeing that cute dress on you!" He demanded and I giggled as I walked into the walk-in closet. I slipped into my dress and fashionably walked out as balefire howled and Zachary's jaw dropped. "Stop it" I giggled. "It's gorgeous, your gorgeous!" He smiled jumping to his feet rushing to cuddle me. "Only 2 more hours!" I laughed and Zachary smiled and yawned in my face. "Morning breath lovely" I sarcastically said holding my eyes tightly closed and balling my fists up in a cute way. "I'm going to bed cutie pie" Zachary smiled weakly drifting back to sleep and falling onto the bed. I giggled at him as I went to curl the bottom of my long hair and do my makeup. I made lunch and fed balefire who I also dressed up with a bow tie on his collar. "Cute!" I squealed and he spun around before running to his dish full of yummy food. An hour passed by and Zachary finally came down stairs with some nice clothes on and his ray bands on his head. "Hey beautiful" he smiled grabbing a seat and sitting down to eat. "Hello handsome" I replied taking a bite of my omelette. We finished lunch and by that time it was graduation time. We took some cute pictures at home and then we were off to the university.

Zachary's POV
"Hey holden!" I smiled shaking his hand and patting his back. "How's it been?" He asked brightly. "A bit of a bump in the road but we're working on it" I looked around. "That's great well I'll be right back" he smiled walking back to the professor. "Zachary!" Aspen snapped in my face. "Woah hello" I laughed. "Hey how's it going" she asked. "It's alright" I smiled now searching for Kadence. "Kadence went to talk to Blaine" she informed seeing I was in desperate search for her. "Oh okay" I laughed pushing the thought away. "Oh my god" Aspen gasped and I looked in her direction. I followed her eyes until they met Emily and emerson. Really? Can't leave her alone can you? Emily had he large puffy pink dress on like she was a her sweet 16 and emerson was wearing comfortable sweats and a muscle tee. "That's so embarrassing" Aspen laughed looking over at them. "Wonder why they're here" I questioned. "Well maybe for the speech, that's why Kadence went to see Blaine for her speech" Aspen smiled and I was about to nod when I heard the professor stand up and tap the microphone for attention. We all took our seats and listened as he went through the ceremony until the speeches began. "First up we have Kadence" he announced and my ears tuned in. "Hey everyone, I just wrote something small but trust me it's meaning full. To those who I've worked with during our assignments and studies I have to thank you because I am truly a pain and I get frustrated easily! Especially to the friends I've made here. How do you do it? Anyway on behave of my family to all of you we'd like to congratulate you and thank you so much for teaching us" she spoke softly into the microphone and the crowd erupted in cheers. She stepped off and sat down beside me. "It's almost hat time!!" I laughed and she winked at me. "Congratulations!" The professor yelled as all the graduates threw their hats up in the air and hugged each other tightly. I got some pictures of Aspen and Kadence as well as holden and Aspen. "Also I'd like to ask everyone to send in an after grad photo for us to post on our staff room wall! Some are quite amusing." He announced and the crowd laughed a bit until everyone started to leave. "Kadence!" I raspy male voice called for her and I looked in the direction it was coming from. "Blaine! Who's this?!" Kadence asked smiling at the girl beside him. She had long brown hair and a small figure with freckles covering her from head to toe. "This is my girlfriend iris" he smiled and she smiled back at him. "Hello I'm Kadence" Kadence hugged her. "Hey Kadence" she smiled softly. "It was nice meeting you but we have to go see balefire now, love you all byyyye" we yelled as we walked away with a few goodbye hugs.

Emily's POV

"Hello iris, how are you" I smiled. "I'm ok" iris said blankly and then snapped her neck away from me. "We'll see you around Blaine" emerson said to Blaine and Blaine returned a faint wave and walked away with iris. "Bitches" I whispered. "No our friends" he retaliated. "Ugh your always on their side what the fuck" I snapped. "No your just incredibly rude" he sassed and continued to walk to the car. "Whatever!" I pouted and then we jumped in the car. "Emily you need to realize your not the only one running this relationship." Emerson explained as he backed out of the parking lot. "What the hell emy poo I think you need your daily dose of Emily." I winked biting my lip and smiling at him. "Ha! Emily I'm not always interested in being in your pants...you kind of have to realize I'm not a man whore like the rest of your 1 night stands." He snapped. "Trying to call me a whore now?" I tensed. "Let's just being heaven back home and have sex why don't we!? Because that's all you want!" He yelled. "Ugh your so rude!" I complained and slouched in my chair. He pulled into Zaire's driveway and unbuckled heaven. "I'll be right back" he forced and walked up to the door and patted heavens back as she ran inside. He turned around and got back in the car. "I don't always have my mind on sex you know.." I explained. He looked over at me and laughed quietly and drove back to our house. "What's so funny?" I snapped rising from my seat. His eyes widened at my action. "That fact that you actually try to make yourself believe you don't always want someone in your pants, the fact that I'm just your little toy, and the damn fact that you treat me like my opinion has no ducking value!" He yelled as he slammed his arms on the steering wheel. I looked at him with no expression. Searching for something to say grew more difficult as the silence grew larger. "I'm going inside don't fucking talk to me" he spat slamming the door and storming into our house. I sat in the car a little longer and let my thoughts run freely through my head. "Is this what my life has come to?" I asked myself.
