8O. i won't wake up this time

2 MONTHS LATER

about 2 months passed since you and mikasa had gotten back together and you felt like you made the right decision. she got a studio apartment meaning you could move out from corinna and giselle's place. you missed them a lot but they always found time to come see you.

and corinna soon did realize that her ex soundcloud rapper boyfriend was in fact connie, and he did name his daughter after her. she was honored and since claire dumped him and left corinna (the baby) with connie he moved out to new york to come see his ex. so technically corinna was corinna's new mom? it's weird, i know.

you'd even gotten an unexpected text from loren. after rehab he was doing much better, he even apologized for everything from last year. his new girlfriend was now also expecting a baby whom you couldn't wait to meet.

him and rosè obviously were over but that didn't stop them from being great friends. mikasa kept making music that was breaking records daily and you got a new nickname in your city.

"yo you're mikasa's girlfriend. cute" you'd hear from time to time. you just smiled it off, you were just glad to be hers.

11:00 AM

you stood on your balcony working on a new oil painting for the house. mikasa made sure you had the balcony just for days like this and god did you love it.

she was still asleep, giving you time to spend outside with mocha. who you did end up going back for. it was crazy how you went through so much just to get to a moment like this. but you'd go through it all again and a billion times more for the only girl who'd ever made you feel like the goddess you were.

"i was looking for you." mikasa surprised you, coming to sit on the balcony and watch you

"you know where i go everyday, babe." you smiled

"the city is nice." mikasa looked out

"why do you think i moved here. it's gorgeous."

"like you?"

"stop." you felt your cheeks begin to heat, you turned around and faced your painting again so she couldn't tease your smile.

"come here." she stood up and wrapped her arms around you from behind. her head sat on your shoulder while she watched you blend colors.

"you're so talented."

"it's kinda my thing." you smiled

"you're so beautiful." she whispered

"so are you." you smiled again, giving her a nice view of your dimples.

"oh wait! i forgot to show you the song, come inside quick quick." she scurried into the house, the cat followed when she ran to the piano in the living room. you set down your brush and followed her into the apartment. she patted the spot next to her for you to sit.

your cat sat on your lap while she found the keys to start playing cherry blossom.
