I looked through my closet, selecting a dark blue hoodie and white basketball shorts, along with black converse.
"DAD! I'M GOING TO THE PARK!!" I holler and he grunts in response. Rude.
Walking down my driveway, I see Shirabu also stepping out of his house.
He runs down to greet me, "Hey."
I nod and we continue walking towards the park. As we approach the park, my mind suddenly flashed to the boy next to me. It's been happening a lot. I'll be trying to study and my mind randomly thinks of him. Or if I'm playing volleyball. Or even when I'm trying to sleep. It's seriously annoying.
"Are you okay, you look mad?"
"I-"
"I'm fine," I say sheepishly and snicker.
"M'k....." He smirked and looked forward. We sat down and sat in a comfortable silence for a while.
"Wanna play 20 questions?" He asked out of the blue and I shrugged.
"You go first," he glanced at me.
"Uh, ok. Um....what are you most scared of?"
"Losing someone I'm close to...I don't really know," he shrugged and thought for a minute.
"What's your favorite pass time?"
"Bullying little children on Roblox," I say bluntly and we burst out laughing.
We kept playing, enjoying our time. I looked over to a bench and saw my grandma sitting with a kid. She was a babysitter, after all. She noticed us and winked with a sly smile.
"Who's that?"
"Uh...."
"Y/N!!!" The girl noticed me and charged me. She bolted into me and tumbled into my lap.
"My grandma babysits and I guess she took the kid here....What a pleasant surprise," I say the last part through gritted teeth.
"Ooh! Is he your boyfriend?"
"Nani! No!" I turn red and pinch her cheeks. She giggles and looks at Shirabu.
"Or is-"
"Yua, why don't I go push you on the swings, yeah?"
"Hun, since you have her, I'll leave. I'll let her mother know..."
"G-Gran! N-"
"I said what I said, now goodbye~" She laughed and hobbled off.
"It's fine, she's cute enough to stay," Shirabu laughed under his breath and picked her up. He walked over to the swings and she climbed onto the chained rubber.
Maybe this wouldn't be so bad...
