Into the Storm

Chapter sixteen

Dany was strolled in the elevator in a wheelchair, being pushed by Taylor.

Taylor quickly pushed the basement button.

You would think everyone in the elevator would be crammed. But it was only Taylor, Jake, and Dany.

Awkward.

"So how life..." Taylor said breaking the silence.

"I dunno you tell me." Dany tried to make a joke but that put everyone else in a worse mood.

When the elevator go to the basement there was chaos everywhere.

"Over here." Taylor yelled over the noise.

A bunch of people followed Taylor into a little room made out of stone. There was a loft, and a table with playing cards on it.

Not everyone one that followed Taylor fit so Jake violently shut the door in front of them.

"You jerk!" they all screamed at him to them in but he sat back down with the 6 other people that were in there.

"So," a smirk appeared on his lips. "who knows how to play a bit of poker."

After Jake finished up poker, everyone got quiet.

The winds outside were picking up.

"I should go check." Taylor said standing up. "On the storm."

"You're not going into the storm!" I yelled at her.

"Watch me."

She opened the door but the hallways were completely empty.

Taylor's POV

I tip-toed up the stairs and through the empty hallways.

I saw a teenager about my age screaming at the top of his lungs, "TORNADO 7 MILES AWAY."

I ran in the opposite direction of his voice and through the doors.

I saw a massive tornado as big as a bunch of blimps combined together. As if three twisters combined together.
As if- you get the point.

I walked back in with sweat on my face.

"We aren't gonna make it." I said softly walking down the stairs.

I walked back in our little stone room and started to cry.

"It's ginormous." I said through tears.

Dany pulled me in for a hug.

"We aren't gonna make it." I mumbled again.

Sometimes people don't even follow that and wait a year to start writing again but I promise I will start writing by then!
