You'll Have To Save Me Once More

I wake up on the floor of the living room. As I breathe in I notice the dull air, it smells like there's been a fire close by.

I sit up, which is remarkably easy to do, and look at my chest. It is completely fair, the wound on my stomach has completely disappeared and even all my scars are gone.

Just as I stand up, Techno walks in. 'Wake up sleepyhead, breakfast is ready.'

Techno is smiling, which is something he only rarely does. After looking closer I notice his eyes are red, but not his pupils, it seems as if he's been crying. Actually, his pupils aren't brown either, they're blue. Just like Tommy's.

He walks towards the kitchen and I follow him closely until he shuts the door in my face. I open the door and as I step inside, I notice the kitchen is completely filled with water.

The water engulfes me and I look around for Techno, who has disappeared.

I see a weird shape on the other side of the kitchen. As I swim towards it, it starts to become more clear. It's the shape of a human- Techno?

I thrust my body back as I see Quackity's smiling face staring at me. I swim towards the door but notice it's locked. Quackity walks towards me as the water around him turns pitch black.

The darkness spreads towards me, until I'm floating in a silent void.

Alone.

Right?

The darkness has always been so calming. I can just be, without having to do anything. All my worries just float away. The dark water accepts my mortal body as if it were a bubble, ready to break at any pressure. It knows. It knows I can break at any second.

The darkness cradles me. It would never let me fall. It would never let anything bad happen to me.

Calm. I am Calm.

And alone.

Right?

A cold hand grabs my hair and yanks me out of the water.

I don't want to leave. Please don't make me leave.

The hand drops me in the streets of L'Manburg, how long have I been holding my breath? I look around and see two people in the distance.

As I walk towards them I notice one of the people is Fundy. His fox ears reveal him.

'Welcome, Wilbur.' Fundy has a warm smile, yet I shiver, it's cold. Is it night? 'This man is a traitor, he sold some golden apples to another traitor. We must punish him.'

I look at the man and take a step back. It's the man from the shop. I look back at Fundy, his smile has disappeared and he seems much scarier than I remember him.

Do I even remember him? What was the fox's name? I just said it.

'Quackity misses you. You were so good at punishing people.'

I never did that- right?

'Take his powers away, Wilbur. He doesn't deserve them.'

No- my hand doesn't feel like my own anymore as it moves towards the man.

I want to go back to the water. My hand becomes warm and makes burn marks on my hand. Those will definitely sting for a few more days.
