I ran full speed to the forest, I moved and dodged every bullet the man shot at me. I was running for my life, my breathing was calm and steady, but my heart was racing. The feeling of wind on my face felt nice, but the sharp empty pain that I felt right as I entered the forest, did not feel good. I fell and collapsed. I grasped my side and looked to see the blood falling down. My breathing got heavy, I saw my father full on sprinting towards me. I got up slowly, pushing the pain down, I got a piece of cloth I packed and pushed it against the wound stopping the bleeding. I ran forward further into the forest, I couldn't out run my father, or whatever he was to me, but I could run longer then him. I only needed to keep running at my current speed for a bit and I would have him beat. I did just that, for 5 minute straight I ran at the same speed. I looked back to see him not in my sight range. I kept going since you can never trust him, he always has tricks.

I kept walking until I couldn't anymore, I had lost a lot of blood. I propped myself against a tree and looked for the med pack. I found my gauze and wrapped it around my waist keep the cloth in place to slow the bleeding. I lifted the cloth a little and got my tweezers, I found the bullet. I looked up biting on my shirt, I pulled the bullet out slowly. The pain I felt was awful , I tried to keep quiet but I clenched hard onto my shirt. I screamed loud but it came out muffled since my shirt was in my mouth. When I got the bullet out I pushed the cloth back onto the wound. Now it should heal. I learned all this in training, my commanding officers would shoot me and give me 10 seconds to fix the wound before making me go back into combat.

I got up packing up all the bloody tissues and my medic supplies, I needed to get further out and away from my home. I had to go really slow, my wound was hurting more and more every hour that passes. After 4 hours of straight walking, I had to stop and rest. Unfortunately, I couldn't sleep, if I did, I might not wake up. The pain was getting almost unbearable. I stayed awake for hours that passed like minutes, my back was propped up against a tree and I had a straight view of the stars. I got up once more, needing to find a place to stay. I walked to a huge body of water, in the distance I saw a small white blob. If I got closer I could see what it was, the wind was whistling against the tree bark. The forest was scary quiet.

As I got closer I saw exactly what I wanted to see, a boat! Maybe I could break in and steal their supplies. I ran as fast I could towards the ship, I tripped over rocks, got hit in the face with tree branches, and even maybe twisted my ankle. I got to the boat, my body was in pain. I walked around to where the boat was docked to the ground if the forest. I realized how weird it was that a cruise ship was here. I looked at the body of water the cruise ship was in. It looked like the ocean and smelled like it. I cautiously walked to the water and stuck my hand in. The water was freezing cold, i jolted and pulled my hand back quick. I tasted the water residue on my hand. Very salty.

Why is there a body of ocean water in the middle of a forest like this?

I didn't have time to dwell on the situation as my side was getting worse by the minute. I walked up to the cruise ship. There was no one outside that I could see. I ducked and hid behind different walls and corners trying to stay hidden. I walked into the cruise ship and saw a bunch of people. I stood there shocked at how many people there were. I almost went to run but no one seemed to notice me. I slowly walked further into the ship, all the people were completely ignoring me. They were talking about the pools and the dinners. Parents were gossiping and watching their kids. It was as if they were under some sort of trance. I decided to ignore the unsettling feeling in my gut and go find the Med Bay. I pushed through crowd of people, no one seemed to mind. I got all the way to the other side of the boat where stairs were located, and to the left of the stairs was a room that had a sign on it saying

"Medical"

Bingo!

I walked in and dropped my bag to the ground. I pushed things aside and tipped stuff over, I found the needles and the stitches up in the cupboards. I sat on the table that was in the middle of the room and lifted my shirt. I moved the gauze with the cloth aside.
