Trigger Warning: Blood.

--

"What are you doing here?"

"Do you always ghost everyone when you're traveling?" He said— almost frowning.

"Yes, I do." I answered. "Now, what are you doing here? How did you know my flight details?"

"I asked Tita about it."

"And why?" Tanong ko pabalik.

"I can't?" Bakit ba parang galit 'to? "Can you, at least, let me know if you're gonna ghost me?"

May nang-ghost ba na nagpaalam?

"Did you worry?"

"Is that even a question?" He fired back. I bit my cheeks inside to stop myself from smiling. Man, this guy's annoyed yet he still looked good.

"If you're so annoyed with me, why did you still come to pick me up?"

"Because I'm hungry."

Hindi ko na napigilan ang tawa ko. Napatingin pa sa akin ang ibang tao. "Tara na nga." I gave him my luggages and we went to his car.

"Where do you want to eat?" I asked him.

"What do you want to eat? Did you eat already?"

Just, who wouldn't like this guy?

"I ate bread on the plane." He just nodded.

Hindi ko alam kung bakit sa Antipolo kami napunta. We came from the airport. Sa Pasay pa. Pinapagod yata ako ng lalaking 'to.

We were at this cafe that he wanted to visit. Marami raw good reviews about this place and it has a nice view.

Totoo naman. Kaya lang, masyadong tinaas ng Bali ang standards ko sa views. This place is passable, though.

"How was Bali?"

Palihim akong napangiti nang itanong niya 'yon.

"It was fine. Relaxing."

"Relaxing but you took your materials with you."

"I can't?" He chuckled while shaking his head.

"Did you take pictures?"

"A few."

"Patingin ako."

"Huwag mo 'kong utusan." Sabi ko habang kinukuha ang phone ko. I searched for my picture on the cliff sa Uluwatu— that was my favorite picture of all.

He immediately smiled when he saw the picture. "Ganda." He whispered to himself.

My heart raced with what I just heard. I had to pinch myself under the table to stop myself from feeling unnecessary things.

It was just a compliment. I always get compliments from my Dad. What's the difference?

Of course, it's different. He's fucking Cole.

"You only took 10 pictures?" He asked. I nodded, still trying to calm myself.

Was I supposed to take a lot of pictures?

"I don't like taking pictures when I'm traveling."

"Did you enjoy Bali?"

I shrugged. "Yup."

Napatingin ako sa kanya nang tumawa siya. "You and your walls, Erica Vienne."

Inirapan ko lang siya. "Shut up."
