Alexia Whittle stood in front of her mirror and stared at her reflection. She brushed her blonde hair behind her ear and straightened her denim jacket.

A photo on the mirror caught her blue eyes and she gazed at it. It was a picture of her when she was on her broomstick for the first time when she was flying on it by herself that day.

She reached out to touch the photo and saw a reflection of her floating snow globe collection behind her. She turned towards them and watched as they hovered in place from her floor to the ceiling.

KNOCK. KNOCK. CREAK.

"Sweetheart?" Elizabeth Whittle opened the door to her room and walked inside. She stopped when she saw her daughter looking at her collection and idly drummed her fingers on the door knob. "Darling?"

Alexia turned away from the snow globes and faced Elizabeth. She smiled at the sight of her and snickered. "Yeah?"

"Are you ready?"

She nodded and stared at herself in the mirror again. She exhaled and headed for the door to follow her mother out of their house.

Elizabeth and Alexia had arrived at a nearby zoo. They were already near the reptiles and a bunch of snakes were slithering around. Elizabeth had her hand on the latter's shoulder and Alex looked in each enclosure with a smile, hunched over as she gazed inside. "Oh, look at that one."

She was going to turn eleven in a month and Elizabeth wanted to take her out for a nice mother-daughter time.

Alex stopped before a lizard and examined it with a smile. She watched it flick its tongue at her and she sighed. "Not sure if I should feel bad for these animals being in a cage or not."

Elizabeth stared at the lizard as her brows were slightly furrowed and frowned a bit. She knitted her brows a bit more as it flicked its tongue again and shook her head, lost in her memories.

"Mother?" Alex asked worriedly and noticed how frightened Elizabeth looked, chewing on her lips. "Are you alright?"

She faced Alexia and smiled warmly. "Yes, love," she replied and placed a hand on her shoulder again before moving her along a new enclosure. "Let's check out something else, yeah?"

Alex nodded and went along with her. They passed the Dursley's looking at a rather large boa constrictor and Alexia idly gave them a glance.

Vernon knocked on the glass. "Move."

She stopped in her trail to look back at the noise and furrowed her brows, seeing what the issue was.

Dudley pounded on the glass louder and more aggressively. "MOVE!"

"He's asleep!"

"He's boring..."

The two of them walked away and Harry leaned on the enclosure as he watched the snake apologetically. He began to talk to him and the boa seemed to understand him.

Alexia raised her brows at the noises she was hearing and approached him cautiously. She leaned in a bit to listen to the strange language and frowned in confusion as she stopped.

"Mummy! Dad, come here!" Dudley ran towards Harry and knocked him down to get to the enclosure again. "You won't believe what this snake is doing!"

He was knocked to the floor at her feet and she tried to catch him but he almost took her down with him. "Sorry."

She sat up behind him and gripped his arms as she helped with sitting him up. "Are you alright?"

He didn't respond to her as he was glaring at Dudley and suddenly the glass of the enclosure disappeared which made him fall right in. "Whoa, ah! Ahh!"
