Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry had been in session for a couple weeks and the first years were finally situated to everything around them.
Calista had gotten Lee, Fred and George back for their prank when she managed to turn their skin green with boils all over. They weren't happy about it, of course, especially when it lasted all day but she had no regrets.
Lavinia had been Snape's assistant since the first day and helped him everyday in between classes to prove she was serious about wanting to learn how to brew the Wolfsbane Potion.
Draco, however, quickly found out she was Snape's apprentice and even waited for her outside the classroom when he finally learned her schedule. He found her most interesting and was gradually beginning to understand her. Very gradually.
In the Great Hall, most of the students worked on their homework and some of them were only talking among themselves.
"Eye of rabbit, harp string hum. Turn this water into rum," Seamus chanted as he aimed his wand at his goblet and looked inside to see if it worked. "Eye of rabbit, harp string hum. Turn this water into rum."
Alexia sat in front of him and held her head up with her hand as she watched. She raised a brow and chewed on her lips. 'Is that even a real spell?'
While working on his homework, Neville looked up and watched him. He glanced at Alex next to him and frowned. "He's been at that all week."
She nodded and raised a brow. "He's determined, I'll give him that."
"He actually managed a weak tea yesterday," Ron chimed in on her other side and Harry faced him. "Well before..."
BOOM!
The goblet exploded and left Seamus' face covered in soot. Everyone erupted in laughter around him and Alex smiled as she straightened in her seat.
After hearing a owl hooting, Ron looked up towards the rafters with a smile. "Ah, mail's here."
Owls flew over everyone and dropped parcels to students.
Alexia caught a rectangular box with a letter attached and looked over it. She carefully removed the letter and opened it. She felt a smile rise on her lips and shook her head seeing it was from her uncles and aunts.
Neville unwrapped his gift and rolled a remembrall out onto his hand. He examined it in wonder.
"Look, Neville's got a Remembrall!"
Alex glanced over as Seamus spoke and faced Neville's gift. She raised her brows and tilted her head. "Oh, I think my Uncle Fabian has one of those! Don't they turn red when you forget something?"
"Yes," Hermione replied as she faced her. "When it turns red, it means you've forgotten something."
He stared at the remembrall and watched as it turned smoky red. "The only problem is," he began and faced Alex. "I can't remember what I've forgotten."
She faced him and then looked around. "You're not wearing your robes," she told him quietly and shrugged. "Do you think that's what it was?"
He looked down at himself and glanced around at other students who had their robes on. "Oh yeah!"
Alexia smiled and picked up her gift. She was about to tear it open until she read who it was for and raised a brow. "Oh..." she mumbled and got out of her seat to head to Elizabeth.
Lizzie leaned back in her seat and quietly read over her letter. She furrowed her brows in confusion and looked up to see her daughter approaching. She smiled and leaned forward. "Hello, Lexie."
