A month went by fast but for some students, it was slow and boring. Most of them did their school work and attended classes like normal but a few fooled around since Hallowe'en was around the corner. That doesn't mean they never played around before in their spare time.
Quidditch practice had been going on for a while and Alexia watched the Gryffindors train from the stands. She made it a habit to watch and noted Harry was a very fast learner.
Hermione, Ron, and Neville joined her whenever they could after classes. Out of the four of them, Hermione was always the one who brought a book with her and studied as they watched.
Ron told some stories to them about his family and the pranks the twins did to him. He even talked about Scabbers and where he came from - since he had been in the family for eleven years, he told her some theories about the rat.
Neville talked to Alexia about his gran most of the time and played with the Remembrall he had gotten from her.
During some of the times Alexia watched the practice, she had spotted other students watching them as well and knew they must be there to support the team or their friends.
For example, Calista had been there to support the Gryffindor team whether by herself or with a couple of her friends. She didn't care how long their practice lasted, she was always there.
Susan, Justin, and Ernie had sometimes accompanied Callie to those games to show them how Quidditch works, telling them a couple funny stories on what happened during the sport. She even introduced Alexia to them and vice versa.
Lee even joined Callie to support the Gryffindors and Alexia could feel a small awkward tension between them when they had a conversation. She could be wrong but she never saw Callie and Lee hang out during their free time, but when they do it's usually with Fred and George.
On one day, Ron brought up how Fred accidentally forgot Calista at Hogsmeade and she stopped talking to him for weeks.
Alexia didn't hear anything else about it, whether Callie had forgiven Fred or if they weren't on speaking terms. Alex assumed they were okay since Calista had been watching the Gryffindor team practice, even when she was upset with Fred.
Surprisingly, Alexia even watched the other team's practice and Neville still joined in with her whenever he had free time of course. Seamus accompanied them rarely but not as much as Neville. She wasn't surprised when she saw Fred and George watching the game, supporting Calista of course.
It was only training but she could still hear their loud voices cheering for Calista whenever she scores or just to hype her up.
She saw how Calista and Cedric played on the Hufflepuff team, they were good. Alex saw a lot of good players on each team too but she watched how Callie and Cedric worked together, even when the former was the Seeker and the latter was a Chaser.
She heard from their captain that they took turns being Seeker and found that idea very clever. She felt jealousy watching every single player fly around and having fun but she made sure to keep that in check.
Quidditch practice lasted hours and days with different teams. Each of them fought for the pitch, especially Gryffindor and Slytherins. Hufflepuff and Ravenclaws, not as much as the others.
The days turned into weeks and those weeks turned into a month. Hallowe'en had finally arrived and the pumpkins Calista helped Hagrid with grew right on time.
He had carried each of them to the Great Hall the night before and had a few volunteers help him decorate the Great Hall with spooky decorations in the morning.
