The First Game

Today was the first day of Quidditch, so almost everyone on Gryffindor and Slytherin were either excited or tense about the upcoming game... or even a mixture of both.

The students inside the Slytherin common room were confident enough they would win the game and even made a joke about Harry being Gryffindor's Seeker, saying he wasn't good enough.

Lavinia overheard rude things they've said about Gryffindors and other houses but she brushed them aside as she went to start her day. 'Bloody weekends...'

It was different inside the Gryffindor common room, the students were betting who would win and a few of the older students even said they'd host a party if they win. Whether or not they were serious, it did raise morale.

The game was in less than an hour and the teams were already in their uniforms as they headed for the Great Hall for breakfast.

In the Hospital Wing, Alexia sat up on her bed while massaging her head and felt a migraine forming again. She groaned and fidgeted impatiently. She looked down and idly rubbed the bump on her head before grimacing slightly. "Ow..."

She sniffled and rubbed her eyes. She had asked Pomfrey if she could leave for the day and promised to return after Quidditch but was told she had to stay in bed.

Pomfrey didn't want to risk her getting too excited during the game and getting another migraine. She already had word with Elizabeth about the situation and Snape was, of course, present so he was informed as well.

Alexia ran her fingers through her hair and closed her eyes to calm herself from having a breakdown. She sighed in frustration and saw the potion from the corner of her eyes.

She looked towards Lavinia's Remedy sitting on the table and reached for it in examination again. 'Drink before the big game, huh? Would it really work?'

She unscrewed the lid off the bottle and smelled the cherry scented liquid. She picked up the note and read the instructions. She swallowed hard and drank a small sip of it.

Alexia tasted the cherry and sat the potion down. She grimaced at the after taste and felt warmness as the liquid went down. She massaged her throat and even felt the warm feeling in her head mixed with the migraine.

She could feel her drowsiness and any other negative ailments vanishing. She raised her brows and examined the bottle. "Wow..." she whispered and chewed on her lips. "That felt so weird..."

Meanwhile in the Great Hall, Harry sat with his friends and twirled his breakfast with his fork. He was dressed in Quidditch attire and sighed as he stared at his food as the others were eating.

Ron watched him and sighed. "Come on, mate," he began and gestured to his food. "Have some toast, go on."

"He's right, Harry," Hermione chimed in and nodded. "You're gonna need your strength today."

"I'm not hungry."

Calista headed over towards them from her table and swooped next to Harry. "Hello, love," She sat her back against the table and had her arm resting on it. "I came over here to wish you good luck on your first game."

He faced her and smiled softly. "Thank you," he replied and looked down at his breakfast before he continued to poke it. "Alexia should have this position, not me."

She raised a brow and shook her head. She placed a hand on his shoulder and smiled warmly. "You'll do fine," she replied and looked up to see Fred staring at her after she felt his eyes on her. "What?"

He held his head up with his hand and gazed at her. He smirked slightly and raised a brow oddly as he watched her.

George eyed her as well and smiled knowingly. He held up his head with his hand as well and chuckled. "He's just amused by the sudden change of heart," he joked and nudged his twin. "Isn't that right, Freddie?"
