A/N this story was requested by @69Bi-in-bitch69, hope I've done you proud. Okay but I'm lowkey so proud of. I really hope you all enjoy.

Dark's PoV
Well fuck. Better think of an excuse quick before they start becoming suspicious. "Sorry Y/N, I'm actually quite busy with paper work at the minute. Maybe another day." With that I push my door closed. Or at least I try too. "Y/N, your foots in the way." I say, panic bubbling inside me. Are they really not gonna give up? With my hope for a quite day slowly leaving, I give one last half-assed attempt at forcing their foot away from the door. No luck. "Why must you be like this?" I asked, coming off more aggressive than i actually meant too. "You mean why must I notice when something is wrong? Guess its just a part of my natural charm." They reply with a smug face whilst shrugging their shoulders.

I knew acting this confident could only get me so far, but I was willing to ride this train as far as it goes. I look over too (Y/N) staring at me dead on. Clearly they were waiting for some sort of explanation. With a heavy sigh I pull open the door, gesturing with my arms for them to enter. If I had to do this, I certainly wasn't going to be happy about it. "I guess you should come in and make yourself comfortable." With a smug expression plastered on their face, they sauntered into my office.

(Y/N)'s PoV
I felt bad for forcing Dark into talking but I felt bad that he was clearly suffering with something. "So you want to start talking or are we just gonna stand here awkwardly?" I said, attempting to lighten the mood at least a little. Dark huffed and look everywhere else but me, weird. After an awkward couple of seconds, I hear a shuffling and assume that its Dark making his way over to the other side of his desk.  Not long after, i hear a faint click resonate around the room and after a slight delay a faint light fills the room. It seems Dark switched a lamp on that was somewhere in the room.

Taking the time to look around his office, I notice a few things. The walls clearly had holes punched through them, they had been poorly filled in with some sort of DIY wall plaster, but they still stood out like sore thumbs. There was also a clear lack of reflective surfaces in the room, no mirrors, no shiny surface tops and also I now notice that the room has no view of the outside of this room with no windows on any of the 4 surrounding walls.

Awkwardly shuffling my way around Dark, I slowly make my way over to his desk. I find a chair and sit on the side closest to the door, turning my chair to face Dark's still standing form. "So seriously, do you actually wanna talk about it or do you want me to go? Cause I don't mind but I just want to apologise if I've made you feel uncomfortable by barging in here and trying to force you to talk to me about something you clearly don't want to talk about." I said, feeling slightly bad that I may have forced him into an uncomfortable situation.

Then suddenly, the tense atmosphere that had been in the room before lifts slightly and I feel like I can breath again. I see a small smile sneak onto his face. Its a success, a small success, but a success none the less.

Dark's PoV
I smile slightly at how hard (Y/N)'s is trying. Giving up my tough exterior, I saunter over to my desk and take the seat that is opposite (Y/N). I slouch over in the seat once I have sat down and rest my head on my arms. Sighing deeply, I close my eyes and wait for (Y/N) to start talking. If I had to do this whole talking bullshit, I was certainly going to make sure it was awkward as all hell.

"Sooo-my main man Dark, my best buddy, my friend," (Y/N) started awkwardly, I lay there unmoving "Look dude, I was over here thinking we were making progress. Clearly, I was mistaken. I'm just gonna head out." Hearing a chair scrape across the floor, my head shot up. (Y/N) had pulled their chair back to my desk and faced it the proper way round. They had turned to leave and it suddenly hit me that my stubbornness was getting me nowhere. "(Y/N), wait. I apologise for my behaviour. Take a seat," when they hadn't turned to face me, I tried again "(Y/N), I do want to open up. I just find it difficult, I am willing to try though. Will you please just sit down?" I begged with all the sincerity I could gather. After what felt like hours of silence (in reality it was barely 2 seconds), I dropped my head back down so it was once again lying on my forearms.

I felt a hand lay itself on my the top of my hair and I simply sighed. I had hoped that they wouldn't leave, I had hoped that they would stay. I looked up slowly and almost jumped at how close they were. They were perched on the end of my desk, looking at me with kindest eyes I have ever seen on a person. Under their watchful gaze, I caved and the dam broke.

(Y/N)'s PoV
Oh shit, I froze as Dark seemed to break under my gaze. I pat his head lightly, not being the best at emotional support. I really should have sent up Wilford, or Eric or for fuck sake even Anti would have been better than me. I gently started combing my fingers through his thick hair and humming a vague tune. Dark leaned into my touch as I shuffled closer to the edge of the desk so I was closer to him.

In the quietest tone I could manage, I asked "Do you wanna take this to Wilford's room so its like more comfortable or whatever. Or we can stay here, I don't mind, and don't think that I'm like-"(For context, you stay in Wilford's room when you come over cause you two are besties and he's barely in his own room anyway) I stop rambling as I hear a slight chuckle leave Darks lips. "Sure, I don't mind. At least that way, my back wont be as sore." I remove my hand from Dark's hair and stood up. Dark followed after me and I grabbed his hand. Slightly pulling Dark with me, we exited his room and made our way into Wilford's.

Flopping down onto the fucking huge bed, I feel a weight lay on my stomach. I move my fingers back to his hair and resume my gentle combing. We lay in silence for minutes, just enjoying each others company. "Sometimes I just feel so much hatred," Dark began, I stayed quite just letting him talk "Its mostly never for other people, most of the hate I feel is directed at me. It causes me to lash out, it causes me to break things. I don't like to be around people when it happens." I could tell Dark was starting to drift of by the way he got quieter at the end of his sentences. "Sometimes when I look in the mirror, I cant even notice the face looking back at me. I hate the face that stars back at me, with its sunken eyes and its scruffy hair."

Dark was mumbling now, I can barely make sense of his words. But i was still listening. It had taken only about a minute before Dark had fell dead silent. I smiled slightly and began to let my mind slip. With my last fleeing thoughts, I promise to stand by Dark, always supporting him, always being there for him.

And if Wilford had came into his room later in the night and seen their position, he surely would never admit to it.
