As most stories tend to begin, let me tell you that it was a reasonably cold morning on this fine Tuesday. This bothered one human in particular. With a grumble and a cold shiver, they pulled themselves into the chest of their lover. The lover in question grumbles in return and attempts to push the human off. This was the routine for practically every morning.

Now let's get some context. The human who was spoke of previously was named (Y/N), their partner goes by the name Anti. The reason (Y/N) had been referred to as a human, was that her partner was not. (Y/N)'s partner was a demon. With Anti being the demon he is, he had been brought up in a very touch less family, who barely showed any affection to each other. This is the only way Anti knew, so when he started his relationship with (Y/N) he was shocked that a person could give and need so much affection. It's not that he minded in the start, but as time progressed he began to find it irritating. Like for example, when Anti had been out hunting all day and all he wanted to do was come home and shower. Obviously his partner had other plans and was particularly touch starved that day.

Now take into consideration that Anti had never once properly yelled at his partner in their 2 year long relationship, once or twice he had snapped and raised his voice a little but he had never full on yelled.

There is always a first time though. It was January the 6th. The weather was cold and occasionally even snow would fall from the sky. It was 8AM when Anti returned home. He was sweaty and covered in cuts. He had been ambushed on his way home by the one and only, high and mighty, Darkiplier. After a long, seemingly endless battle, Anti managed to barely slip away with any dignity he had left.

You had heard the door slam from upstairs. It was no surprise to you that you had slept very little the night before. Now you see, it was a trouble for you to sleep without someone next to you. And since Anti had been out since early last night, you had to improvise with pillows. But he was home now. You ignored your doubts and flung open your bedroom door. With haste you rushed to the front door and wrapped your arms around Anti's waist. When you don't feel arms wrap around you after a couple seconds you look up into his eyes confused. You are concerned when you look up to see him shaking in anger.

Before you knew it Anti had pushed you off of him. You landed on the floor with an audible 'oof' sound.
"DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAND BOUNDARIES? I JUST WANT YOU TO LEAVE ME ALONE. STOP BEING SO DAMN CLINGY FOR LIKE GEE I DON'T KNOW, 5 MINUTES?"
Anti rants at you and with each sentence he seems to raise his volume, he had never yelled at you. Never once. You at look down at your feet in embarrassment. You never realised you annoyed him with your clinginess. You didn't even think you were that clingy. With a huff and not even a glance to you he storms up the stairs, purposefully putting pressure on each step to cause it to creak.

It has been an hour or two. He hasn't left your shared room and you hadn't gone up to check on him. You didn't want to be annoying. That's the last thing you wanted. So to distract yourself and to stop yourself from going upstairs, you turned on your favourite Netflix show.

It had been a couple of hours. The shower was long turned off and their was an eerie silence that hung upstairs. It was almost deafening, filling your head. With a quick glance up the stairs you grab your coat and put on your shoes. You think about texting Anti to tell him you were going for a walk. No, better not. That would just bother him. Pulling your phone from your pocket you plug in your earphones and click play on your playlist. The first song to play was "Gremlins everywhere" by Creature Feature. You skipped that one, it was the song you annoyed Anti with. Luckily the best song had little to no sentimental relation to Anti. "Braindead" by Yungblud. As you strolled along the cold Brighton streets, you failed to notice the various texts and calls you were missing a particular demon.

Enough time had past, you had regained your thoughts and decided it would be best to head home now. God only knows how long you've been out for. Anti must be worri- no. You're going home because you want to. You let Anti drop from your mind and begin the slow ponder home. It took a few hours. But you were there. You were home.

Before you had the chance to reach for the door handle, the door practically flies open and you are knocked over by a strong force. You blink in confusion only to see a cloud of green cover your vision. He's hugging you. Your arms hang down at your sides, gripping your jacket tightly in balled fists. "I'm gonna head to bed. It's getting late." With a not so gentle nudge you release yourself from his warm embrace. He stands on the doorstep. Shock still evident on his face. He had really fucked up this time. And he didn't know if he could fix it.
