A/N two updated in one day?!? What is this shit? Anyway I just wanted to do atleast one Christmas one so here. Merry Christmas, hope you're all holding up and doing well! Stay safe guys.

It was Chase's least favourite holiday. He would not lie and say he loved all of Christmas like the others said. Although he did love the seasonal festivities and decorating that occurred every December, the thing he despised the most was the seasonal depression that always hit specifically him. Out of all of the Septic and even Iplier egos he seemed to be the only one who felt like this, or the others were just really good at hiding their emotions.
It was another day closer to Christmas, the ego manor was alight with lights of red, green and white. Even Dark seemed to be helping the others, Anti had put his knife down to decorate the tree, and this was the greatest surprise. Throughout the whole of December both famous demons Darkiplier and Antisepticeye did not seem to fight once. They seemed to set aside their differences for this one month a year.
But that is not our focus in this story, our focus is the man who sat, alone in the kitchen, separated from everyone else. This is how he wanted it, or so he told the others. But honestly, he just wanted to sit with someone and maybe listen to them talk, or just sit in silence. He did not care.
And perhaps today was his day, perhaps someone would see this man, sat alone in the kitchen on what was supposed to be the happiest month of the year, and take pity on him. Or perhaps (the more likely situation) it would be more like every other year. Where the other egos would spend their December blissfully unaware of how Chase was feeling, Chase knew that the later option would be the one to happen.
So there he sat, drinking his alcohol, alone, in the dark kitchen. It did not concern him, he knew he would be fine. But the others did not, that is why their concerns grew as they entered the kitchen to see Chase say alone. To say they were confused would be a great understatement.
The first to approach Chase was Dark, as he was the leader of the house he saw it as his duty to tend to others in distress, he guides the others out of the kitchen and addresses Chase gently. "Chase? Why are you sat in alone while the rest of us are in the living room? Is there a problem?" Chase looks to Dark, not knowing how to explain how he was feeling. How was he to explain that he was seasonally depressed and just felt like being alone. He supposed he could just say that, and so he did.
"Ah Chase, I am sorry to have interrupted. I shall inform the other but if you wish to join us, we would be glad to have you with us." Dark said with a rare smile. Chase was pleased, they never really acknowledged him. For once in a while, he smiled. He smiled in his most dreaded month.

Chase did eventually join the others- he wasn't as excited as they were, but they didn't tell him to leave like he thought they would. He was included, this is all that mattered, he just wanted to be there.
