FEW weeks later, and everything was back to normal, and by normal, I mean Archer, Lana and I making a full recovery after Archer blew us up back in France. But, on the bright side, we did get that little vacation we wanted, even though it was just us being on bedrest the whole time.
And, also, getting the reward money so Lana and I could use it to our satisfaction. Like she wanted, Lana used hers to redecorate her kitchen while I wanted to get stuff for my office at work. So, before I was scheduled to head back to ISIS, I bought some stuff to add inside it.
I was dressed in black overall shorts with a plain black shirt underneath it, footed in a pair of black and white converse with my hair down. I was inside my office, working on the redecorating. I replaced the old desk, and got a larger one that was grey wood stained, and had four drawers on the right side, and a black mini fridge built in on the left side.
On top of my desk, I got a brand new white Mac computer with a red LED keyboard. Beside the computer, slightly towards the front edge of the desk, was two framed photos. One of them was of my grandparents and I during my eighteenth birthday, and the second one was of my mother and I when I was a little girl, probably around the age of nine.
I also had a black floating arm lamp so I didn't have to switch on the main lights if I was in here at night time. I got a black, leather cushioned chair, which was very comfortable, to sit in at my desk with two black sofa chairs in front of my desk in case anyone comes in, and wants to sit.
I replaced the black dresser that was already inside the office, and got a similar one but in the same color as my desk. Behind me was the window, and I got some black curtains to cover them up so the sunlight wouldn't irritate me during the day. And lastly, rather than keeping the wooden floorboards, I replaced it with all black, fluffy carpet, which makes me want to walk around barefoot in here most of the time.
As I smiled, and enjoyed the sight of my new and improved office, my phone began to ring. I pulled it out of my pocket, and kept the smile on my face when I seen it was a text from Lana.
'Meeting time 😩' Lana sent me, causing me to chuckle. I already knew she meant we had to head to Malory's office.
'On my way 🤪' I replied back, and was prepared to put my phone back into my pocket before Lana responded back, rather quickly at that.
'How about we skip this, and I come to your office?' I chuckled lightly, thinking she was just not in the mood to deal with Malory, and whatever she had planned this time. I was about to reply back until she replied with something more odd. 'The things we can do on that desk of yours 😏' I blinked, but couldn't help but chuckle.
Even though it came off strange, Lana and I always joked in this type of way. It goes back to that game of Kill, Bang, Marry, and I ended up choosing to bang her. It was all fun and games, and nothing sexual was ever gonna happen between us. Besides, if I did swing that way, she's not exactly my type. And, no, it's not because she's black, and has manly hands, it's because I love her like a sister.
'We are not breaking my new desk 🙄' I replied back as I leaned against the wall.
'That's the fun part 😏' I chuckled lightly with the shake of my head as I read back her response. 'Come on, don't you wanna see what my tongue can do? 👅' I snorted out a laugh as I shook my head again.
"This girl." I breathed out. Before I could respond, I turned my head to look at the door as someone began to knock on it. "Who is it?" I asked.
"It's me." I couldn't help but chuckle as I heard Lana answer. I pushed myself off the wall, walked over to the door, and opened it to see Lana standing on the other side.
