When you find out she only started dating you for a bet

Warnings: I dont think any warnings are needed
You walked around the city until your tears had died down. Not knowing what to do next, you sat inside a little café pondering over your relationship with Jisoo. You had always loved your story. It was like you had always imagined it to be. The beautiful girl approaches you at a party and you instantly fall in love, starting your epic journey together. Knowing that it was all a lie, hurt you more than your heart could handle, and you could feel it cracking underneath the pressure of the pain.
Could you believe your girlfriend that she loved you now?
You sat there racking your brain over this question for hours. You thought about all the beautiful moments that you had spent together and how loved she had always managed to make you feel. But on the other side, you also thought about the betrayal that started this whole relationship. Was this a good fundament to begin a live together?
You didn't want to make a decision, because you didn't know what the right answer for your question was. You also didn't feel like seeing Jisoo right now, but you didn't really know where else to go. So slowly, you made your way back to your shared apartment, silently opening the door, hoping that Jisoo wouldn't notice your return.
When you entered the apartment, you could see her laying on the couch. You knew that she was looking at you, but you chose to ignore it, heading to your bedroom to go to bed. Jisoo didn't follow you and you sighted in relief. You definitely needed your space right now. You fell into a restless slumber, your mind being far too occupied to stop working, but at least Jisoo chose to sleep on the couch, so you didn't have to worry about confronting her tonight.
Instead, that burden awaited you the next morning. Groggily you made your way into the kitchen where your girlfriend had already started to prepare breakfast. You could see that she hadn't made your standard breakfast but had put some more effort in.
She greeted you with a small smile, but you stood there awkwardly, getting yourself a hot cup of coffee before wordlessly sitting down at the table.
This scene should also become the theme of all future encounters between Jisoo and you the next two weeks. You couldn't deny that your girlfriend was trying. She bought you little gifts, cooked dinner for you every night and canceled most of her plans, so she would be there if you wanted to talk with her. Which you didn't. Because you still didn't know whether you wanted her to leave or not.
So you spent the time in awkward silence, while Jisoo stole glances at you and you pretended like you didn't notice them.
"You have to make a decision, Y/N."
Jisoo finally said exactly two weeks after you had found out about the bet. You had just had dinner and were both standing in the kitchen cleaning the dishes when Jisoo walked past you, softly putting her hand on your lower back. You flinched back at the contact and Jisoo sighted in frustration.
"I can't change the past. What happened, happened. I will forever try to give you the best life that you can have. But you have to decide if you can forgive me. If not, it would be better if we let each other go."
She looked at you expectantly, but you were at a loss for words.
Taking your non-existent reaction as a sign, she turned around, leaving your apartment.
You were speechless. But she was right. She had apologized and it was wrong to hold her past doings against her. You either had to let her go or forgive her.
The next days, Jisoo didn't come home. Apparently, she wanted to give you the time that you needed to make a decision. Her ultimatum played in your head over and over again.
You had always wanted a picture-perfect love story. But every romance started with love at first sight. And Jisoo had taken that away from your love story.
But was it worth giving your relationship up for? Because one thing was for sure. You still loved her. And you had missed her the last days like crazy. So you decided to reach out to her and put an end to your childish behavior.
Y/N: Can we meet?
You texted your girlfriend and in less than a minute, you had a positive answer from her, as if she had been waiting for your text this whole time.
You decided to meet up on neutral ground, making you walk to the café that you had visited almost three weeks ago.
Jisoo was sitting by the windows and your heart fluttered when you saw her. Although you hadn't seen her for only a few days, you had craved for her already.
Quickly you sat down in front of her and she looked at you insecurity.
"I have ordered your usual."
She tried to loosen the atmosphere, but there had been a question burning in the back of your mind the past three weeks and you couldn't hold it in anymore.
"Do you love me?"
You blurted out and tears started stinging to your eyes.
Jisoo looked at you with wide eyes, but immediately made her way around the table, kneeling in front of you.
"More than anything. I know that it's hard to believe me after I lied. But I will spend the rest of my life proving it to you. Please don't give up on us."
You let her cup your face and you looked deeply into her eyes. You could see her sincerity, making you cry even more.
"I've missed you."
You sobbed and Jisoo wiped away your tears, before softly brushing her lips against yours.
"I've missed you too."
She whispered against your lips, making you pull her into a hug.
Who cared about the beginning of a love story if it had a happy ending?
