When your stressed out due to work

WC:564

Warnings: FLUFF, very fluffy

long days at work. that's what it seems has been going on lately. you don't have time for anything. even if your girlfriend was begging to go out to dinner, or pouting when you fell asleep, you couldn't find time to do anything. eating also became a luxury. your coworkers would occasionally give you half of their sandwich, but that was it. you were so frustrated and tired.

after a long shift, as every shift was, you pulled out your phone as you sat in your seat, massaging the bottoms of your sore feet. a grin appeared on your face as you saw many messages coming from your one and only girl.

[ chae 💕 ] please come home soon!

[ chae 💕 ] i want to kiss youuu

[ chae 💕 ] it's friday!

you smiled and grabbed your bag. finally, after the long ride to your apartment, you opened up your door and sniffed the air. all the way down the hall you could smell it. chaeyoung had most definitely cooked your favorite meal.

"ah, chaeyoungie," you smiled. you turned the corner and entered the kitchen. when you witnessed your girl serving up your favorite meal, the meal she knew you loved, you didn't know what overcame you, but tears built up in your eyes as your vision became blurry.

"you're home!" chaeyoung turned and gasped lightly when she saw a single tear roll down your cheek. "y/n? what's wrong?" chaeyoung dropped the spoon she was holding and quickly came to your side, wrapping her small arms over your shoulders. "did something happen?"

you threw your arms around her waist and pulled her closer to you. between sobs, you laughed. "i love you," you cried. chaeyoung smiled and took the back of your head and pressed your cheek to her chest. her heartbeat was steady. it calmed you. and her arms were warm. they felt like home.

"don't cry. it's okay. i didn't know you liked food this much," she joked. "go sit down. i'll bring you your food." you nodded and let go, wiping your tears with your sleeve.

chaeyoung set two plates down in front of you. it smelled so good. you could begin sobbing again, but caught yourself before you did. chaeyoung took a chair from the other side of the table and scooted it as close to you as she could. she sat down by your side, letting you nuzzle up into her shoulder.

"i knew you were stressed about work. you should have told me, now you've just exploded." chaeyoung grinned as she looked over at you, your cute cheeks were puffy as they were filled with food.

"i didn't want to rant to you," you said. chaeyoung wrapped her arms around you and kissed your head.

"there's a new rule. rant to me if you don't like something. i want to hear it. i don't want you to cry if it can be avoided, i want to listen." and just like that, you exploded with tears again. you slowly chewed your food and swallowed, hot tears rolling down your face.

"baby," chaeyoung whined. she cupped your cheeks, lifting your face up so she could look you in the eye. "you're so cute," she said, brushing some hair out of your face, "and you make me so happy. i love you." chaeyoung pressed her lips against yours softly, then placed her head on your shoulder.
