Warnings: None, Fluff. Have fun!

You watched with awe as Yeji moved around the JYP practice room with such ease. Yeji had always been a natural performer, able to move herself in ways that didn't always make sense to her best friend. Whenever Yeji danced, performed, it felt like everything faded away and it was only the two of you, one dancing and one observing with intensity.

The music stopped and you took a moment to admire Yeji. She looked ethereal in her ending pose, arms reached out to the ceiling as she breathed heavily. You felt yourself stand, hands clapping loudly as you smiled at your best friend, happiness and pride running through your veins.

"That was amazing, Yeji! Seriously, I don't understand how you do that," you said, moving to stand closer to her best friend. Yeji, who had dropped the pose and was now drinking from her water bottle that had been situated at the front of the room, furrowed her eyebrows up at you.

"Do what?"

"Dance with such grace and beauty! Not the mention that you choreographed that whole dance. Seriously, I could never do that," you said, arms crossed in front of your chest. Yeji rolled her eyes, chuckling.

"It's not that hard, Y/N. Besides, most of my inspiration for these dances comes from outside things. I don't just make it up," she tried to explain. You just waved her off. Yeji had a habit of discrediting herself, but you had learned to ignore it. Yeji was talented, whether she liked to admit it to herself or not.

"Come on, Yeji. You are freaking amazing. Where do you even come up with moves like that?" you joked, but your interest was almost immediately piqued as Yeji suddenly looked away from you, cheeks flushing pink. Moving closer, you raised an eyebrow slightly.

"Yeji? You look a little hot, are you okay?" you asked, moving to put a hand up to your best friends forehead. Yeji dodged your oncoming hand, but was still avoiding eye contact. You stopped, but held your ground. You wanted to know what had made Yeji so flustered.

"It's just..."

"Just what, Yej?" Yeji sighed as she finally made eye contact with you again, your whole face tinted a light shade of pink.

"You're a big piece of inspiration for this piece, honestly," she finally admitted. The confession made you pause. Those words were certainly not what you expected, but the words also made you more and more curious. Why was Yeji so embarrassed by the fact she had been inspired by you? You were best friends, honestly you were surprised that you hadn't inspired a dance sooner. But you being best friends did not explain Yeji's sudden shyness, nor did that explain her flustered composure. You smiled at her, before moving to go sit back down.

"Well, if it's a piece inspired by me, can I see it again?" You figured that you might be able to figure something out if you saw it again and heard the music that accompanied the dancer better. With reluctance, Yeji moved towards her phone, fiddling with it for a few moments before she set it down and pressed play.

Once more the music began to sound from the large speakers that were situated in the four corners of the room. You recognized the song almost immediately, the soft piano and natural ambiance of 'Angel' filling your ear. The song was a favorite of both you and Yeji, one that you listened to while doing homework, driving, or just hanging out.

You knew the song by heart, you could sing it word for word, melody for melody without any help, so you chose to instead focus on Yeji's movements. Yeji still moved with such grace and poise, all embarrassment that she might have possessed minutes ago shed away to reveal a beautiful dancer.

As you watched her dance, you became hyper aware of all of Yeji's movements. You noticed this repeating them of reaching out to something, somebody, with no avail. The small movements of Yeji shying away from an unknown force reluctantly. But what became most notable to you was that Yeji was making eye contact the whole time, almost like she was reaching out to you, but moving and pushing herself back.

Like a wave crashing over the sand, the sudden knowledge that Yeji was dancing for you, that this dance and song were a message to you crashed down and engulfed you in a whirlwind of thoughts. Your mind sped at the revelation that your best friend was in love with her.

Your mind sped even faster with the new revelation that you liked that idea.

As soon as the dance ended, you stood up and walked towards Yeji, who was already shying away. Without any hesitation, you pulled Yeji into a hug, shocking the taller girl as she stiffened, before slowly relaxing to hug you back tightly. When you pulled away, you looked up at Yeji.

"So, I'm an angel, huh?" Yeji burst out laughing at your sudden flirting, rolling her eyes as she brushed a piece of her silver hair behind her ear.

"I guess you are. You're my angel."

"Well, would this angel be allowed to take you out on a date? Just to see if you still want to date me after I eat a Chick-fil-a sandwich in 3 bites," you joked. Yeji just laughed, before taking your hand and nodding.

"I'd love that, angel." you blushed at the nickname, before squeezing Yeji's hand and pulling her in for another hug.
