First day on the job

After a week halleween was over, Chris was walking to his new job he just got yesterday.

He saw the Cafe that was called 'Pure Heart Cafe' as he walked into it. He saw the owner, a orange shield shaped head girl.

T: "Hey, ready for your first day of work?"

C: "Nobody ever is, so sure"

T: "Nice enthusiasm, that's gonna get you far"

C: "Of course, isn't that the whole point of a barista?"

T: "yeah well I closed the shop for the first two hours so I could train you, so be grateful"

Chris heard and bowed down.

C: "Of course your majesty, I'm very honored that you spent your time to train me"

Taylor heard and laughed.

T: "Alright alright, now we actually gotta work"

Chris heard and went to the back and put on the appron and taylor saw.

T: "Alright, first things first, clean everything after use"

C: "That's common sense"

T: "Not for you, these aren't modern machines, you gotta roast the brew on a open fire, steam the milk, and get a clean coffee cup"

C: "I know, it's not that difficult"

T: "Fine, c'mon, I'll start teaching"

After the two hours of training, chris was already tired.

C: "Damn, I learned so much but it felt like I  wasted 2 years"

T: "Yeah well be happy I'm paying you 20 dollars a hour, not to mention you get a 200 plus on your first paycheck"

C: "Yeah yeah, lets start work"

Taylor turned on the on sign and went back to behind the counter.

a pair of people walked in and it was stan and octane.

Chris was shocked.

C: "Stan? Octane?"

Stan waved.

S: "Hey chris, we heard you were working here, so we came to try it"

C: "I just started, give me like a day"

T: "Hey, no turning down customers, hey you two, you know my new employee?"

S: "Yeah, we're his friends"

T: "You two look cute together, you dating?"

O: "Yup, so can we order now?"

C: "Sure"

S: "I'll take a chocolate frappe"

O: " and I'll take a iced coffee"

C: "cold drinks during fall?"

S: "Yup, that's what clothes are for"

Chris smiled and started to work on their coffee and Taylor watched.

Chris first made octane's and gave it to him, and when octane tried it.

O: "Nice"

Chris then made Stan's drink and handed it to him, but taylor said.

T: "You forgot to put the chocolate syrup on top"

C: "shit, sorry"

Chris quickly added the syrup on top and finally handed it to Stan and he tried it.

S: "Its amazing, thanks"

O: "So how much?"

C: "12 dollars"

Octane paid it and sat down at a booth with Stan.

A few other customers came and ordered drinks, which Chris was able to make without much difficulty, after the customers got their drinks and left, a blue badge shaped man walked in the shop.

He was in a policemen uniform and went chris, and had a confused/ surprised look on him.

L: "Taylor, who's this?"

Taylor heard and turned around and saw him.

T: "Oh hey dad, I got a new employee, his name is Chris"

Chris was surprised to hear.

C: "Your dad's a cop?"

L: "Is that a problem?"

C: "Nah, not really, just.."

Chris looked at stan's table, which heard and looked at Leon, thinking about his dad.

Leon felt the stare behind him and turned to stan and went to him.

L: "Hey, is there something on your mind?"

S: "N-no"

L: "Are you alright?"

C:" Sir, please leave my brother alone"

Leon heard and turned back to him and walked to him.

L: "Brother? But-

T: "Dad. It's too early for this, please just order and go to work"

L: "Fine, I'll take a double shot expresso"

Chris heard and went to make the order.

Stan whispered to octane.

S: "Can we go now..?"

O: "Of course, c'mon, I still plan on getting you new clothes"

They got up and started walking out when Leon saw them and said.

L: "Hold it"

Stan and Octane stopped and stan started sweating nervously and could tell leon was talking to him and turned around.

S: "Y-yes sir?"

L: "That badge..."

Stan heard and looked on his satchel he used to wear and it had his dad's badge on it.

Leon went to him and looked deeply at the badge.

L: "Oh god...are you Bill's son?"

S: "...That's right?"

L: "It's..nothing, go on ahead"

Stan and octane left and Chris came back to the counter and put the drink down.

C: "Your order, sir"

Leon heard and went to it and picked up his drink.

C: "What about Stan's father?"

L: "Pardon?"

C: "Why were you so interested in the badge?"

T: "Chris enough"

L: "It's fine sweetie..And 'Chris'. Bill used to be my partner, and I didn't know he had a son"

C: "You really used to be partners with Stan's dad?"

L: "Yeah, so I'm going now"

He put down the money and walked out and Chris put the money in the cash register.
