Isaac's POV

We were swimming down the current to the Atlantic, until we were stopped by an uninvited guest. That guest being a fisherman's boat. "What do we do?" Bethany said, as we were treading water, observing the boat's moves, along with the humans on it. "I don't know... but whatever we do, they can't see us." "Why don't we just go around it?" "The hooks, it's shallow, and the water is clear. They'll see us." "Darnit... there must be some way to do this! What would a normal sailor do if they saw 6 fish people?" Cierra squinted her eyes to see better. "Probably try to hook us." Kyara sighed. "I hate getting hooked." Addie moaned. "You've gotten hooked before?" "Once. It took me a minute to dig it out, you gotta be stealthy, make sure they don't know they've caught you, otherwise you'll be the next big science project." She explained. Getting hooked sounds terrifying, I didn't know fishing had such an impact on the world. "We have to try something... lets go under it." Beth said. "Not the best idea, but we're running out of options. Let's do it." Jordan agreed. "Ok... nice knowing ya." Cierra shook her head. We bobbed down and attempted to swim under it, but we heard a couple people begin to tell and yelp when we did. We paused when we were under the ship, so we were out of their sight. "Well done! Now we're fish food." Addie moaned. This is scary! I don't wanna be a science project, or announced to have special powers like my siblings all over the news, especially when we have a major YouTube channel, where thousands of people know our names, then they'll know our secrets too! Then we hear something splash on the surface. "THEYRE JUMPING IN AFTER US!" Kyara screamed. "OH MY GOSH SWIM!" I replied. Everyone began to panic and we swam as fast as a speeding car to get away from that ship. "Ow! Guys, I'm hearing that sound again!" Jordan covered his ears. "Again? I still don't hear anything!" Bethany replied. "Maybe it's a dog whistle?" "A dog whistle? What would that be doing in the middle of the ocean?" "Who knows, and who cares, lets get outta here!" Addie screeched, which caused me to raise a eyebrow in wonder. Addie is usually the one that's defensive about everything, and the most protective about her secret of being a mermaid, so why is she so careless now? We eventually stopped swimming, and the current gently moved us up north, causing us to float to Chesapeake bay. "How much further are we from the bay?" "At least 15 miles." "At LEAST?" Yeah, this is gonna be a long trip. Eventually we realized we wouldn't be home in time to upload a video today, so we gave up on that. We stopped at a cave and we all fell asleep. Swish swish... "Hu? Who's there?" I sprung up from my dream. I heard movement. Too big to be a fish, but too small to be a shark. I was the only one awake, I look around and everyone else is asleep. Or so I thought. I began scouting the cave, looking for any fishy activity. See what I did there? Cierra would have loved that. I swam into another room of the cave and saw somebody in a black robe. Or a merman, like me. There was an electric green tail, and a felt black robe, but that was all I could see of the person. He were mumbling something, then I felt somebody tap me on the shoulder. It was Kyara. I felt a blush creep onto my face. She had woken up to the noise too. I nodded and we both approached the robed man. "Hello?" I say. He flinched and swung around. His eyes covered by the tip of his hood, and his mouth gritted in anger. We both jumped as he began speaking in a nasally, throaty voice, as if he had a cold. "What do you foolish kids want?" He choked. "We would ask you the same question. What are you doing in here while we're trying to sleep?" Kyara said. "Sleep? You all are trying to sleep in here?" He paused for a second to chuckle. "Who do you think you all are?" His voice cracked. "We are sleepy, so stop making your racket, or go to a different cave to do it!" I protested. "You think you all can simply kick me out? It's gonna take more blood and tears to do that!" He raised his voice. "Sir, we don't want trouble, we want sleep. We've traveled far and we need rest-" "Don't even give me none of this crap! You and your little fish friends can carry your butts outta here or deal with me!" He yelled, causing commotion in the other room. We began speaking telepathically.

Kyara: Bad Idea! Move out! Move out!
Me: No! I'm not going to give up our cave for this dude!
Kyara: He's mad, and he's already woke everyone else up. It's not worth it.
Me: I'm not one to give up.
Kyara: Neither am I.
Me: Then don't!
Kyara: I won't!
Me: Good, now let's get rid of this creepy dude.
Kyara: Fine.

"Ok, then if we snap one of your bones, you'll have to leave!" I glared. "Great! I need a bit of exercise anyways. You two will be the perfect victims!" He laughed and took out a knife from the pocket of his robe. "Oh, I forgot. My name's Jimmy!" "AHHHHHH!" Isaac woke up. "AH! What the heck, Isaac?! You woke me up!" Jordan yelled. "Sorry! I had a nightmare." Jordan shook his head and paused. He stared at me and chuckled. "What?" I said, sternly. "Look beside you." Jordan began to laugh. I looked beside me and my face turned bright red. Kyara was right next to me, fast asleep. "AHH!" I screeched once more. When did she get there? I face-palmed and sighed at Jordan. "M-Kay thanks bro, now go to sleep." I say, my face still burning up. "Yeah whatever." He smirked once more and dosed off. I rolled my eyes and fell back asleep.
