Naru: Yuko is the most ridiculous name ever.

Me: oh, and like Naru is any better.

Mai: *trying to contain laughter* Yuko does not own ghost hunt.

Naru's POV

I was sitting in the office getting ready to see Mai when the door happened to open. I rose an eyebrow and put down the folder in my hands. At the door I was met with a petite lady.

She was obviously a little old with her wrinkles, and she wore a weird dress on her person. "Excuse me, but do you have a scheduled appointment?" I asked annoyed.

There was no appointments on the calendar for this time. The lady jumped yet turned my way and shook her head sheepishly. I sighed and motioned toward the couch not occupied by my person for her to sit. She followed my indications shortly after.

"Ok then. I want you to tell me what has brought you here, but first, your name." I calmly stated.

Of course Mai chose to arrive right then and answered for her, "This ladies name is Bai Matsuie. Hi, my name is Taniyama Mai, I'm a Ghost Hunter working here that is skilled in exorcisms.

"Sorry for barging in this suddenly. I had a vision that told me you would be coming by this day. In knowing that I had to take this case I came over."

The lady, now identified as Bai, was shocked by this. She got over it quickly though and was soon shaking Mai's hand in gratitude. I stood as well and commanded that, "we will need at least three rooms, one must have many outlets, and be ready for us to be there tomorrow at 10 am sharp."

She then left and I was, for once, alone with Mai. Turning in her direction I asked, "Why are you here?"

She shrugged and smiled innocently. I had to force myself not to blush. Mai, I think you've made me crazy. Mai then turned to leave but I reacted quickly though and grabbed her elbow. She took an intake of breath obviously shocked before her face molded into confusion.

I paused, then asked, "Mai, the stuff that I wrote on the letter, it was all the truth. Can I know what your answer is?"

She turned around with tears in her eyes. "So you didn't like me before and now you miraculously do. You believed I liked your brother! I never did, never could, because he was not you.

"I've changed, Oliver. You've changed too. So, I just don't know anymore. I don't even know if you know me as myself, my new self."

That was all she said before leaving.

I berated myself for forgetting about that. I won't give up though.

Mai, I love you too much to give up. I will try till my last breath to have you fall for me again, and this time I will never leave you. Ever.

*Time Skip*

Mai's POV

"Hui-chan we need to go." I complained looking at the time.

Hui Ying was living with me since she had no parents or family. Her need for training strengthened my decision. Hui Ying groaned as she sat up, rubbing the sleep away from her eyes.

"I had another dream." she said before getting up and walked to her closet.

Me, already dressed, sat down on her bed with a frown. "Was it about the case today?" I asked.

"Yes. I was shown that it's a demon. As well as the fact John is going to be the demons main target. I believe it has something to do with his past."

She sighed and put on a yellow shirt, white jeans and white vans.
