Chapter 10: Broken Machines

Meiyui: wow I can't believe your having me go to England!

Me: well I might as well. Though I hope nothing bad happens.............

Naru: you're weird.

Meiyui&John&Monk&Ayami: you are scawy!!!

Me: Pfft, babies!

Naru: I agree, Hui-Ying and Ayami do not own ghost hunt.

Mai's POV

I looked out the small window on the plane. The clouds were passing by slowly and it was sort of relaxing, besides the big plane wing and engine. I sighed turning back to my book that I recently finished.

'Well, at least I finally finished it.' I thought. I heard chuckling and turned to see TJ. I glared at him and he just dramatically ran away to hide behind his new girlfriend Margaret saying that I was going to kill him. I sweat dropped and Margaret just scolded him for messing around on a plane.

I played back in my seat. Of course it was very uncomfortable but I was tired. A flashback decided to play in my mind then and I sat up wide awake. Margaret and TJ who saw the action looked my way in got serious.

"Master, is something the matter, I just noticed this but you have circles under your eyes. Have you been sleeping well? You also seem more awake." They both said at the same time.

I looked at my hands, "No it's nothing, now listen to my orders and never ask again." I saw them frown in the corner of my eyes and I knew I hurt them for not telling them, and keeping a secret. I grew said myself and looked back at the window letting one stray tear fall.

I was practically screaming on the inside to tell them that Jack was haunting me in my dreams. I'd always end up standing yet unable to move, he'd show up and would punch me, he would tell me I'm a fail, and wouldn't stop either until I would scream. Scream that he was right, and that he should keep beating me up.

Now I can't even look my friends in the eye, and every time someone gives me even the smallest compliment I shoot it down and tell myself 'they don't mean it'. I also feel like crying at a lot of stuff, it makes me feel like an even bigger fail. What's worse is that I get bruises from his punches and now need to hide them.

I shivered and pulled the sleeves on the turtleneck I was wearing, hoping to cover them better. I got snapped out of my thoughts though when the captain's voice broke through the noise. "Hello, this is your captain speaking. We are right now above England and would appreciate for you to sit in your seats and to buckle your seat belts for our decent to the ground. Thank you."

The voices that had stopped for the announcement started again and a few people moved in the aisle to get to their seats. I blocked it out and looked out the window towards England. It was a pretty impressive sight, but I would guess it would've been better at night.

-plane's landed-

I got off the plane followed by TJ and Margaret, sighing I sent Margaret to get the bags, and TJ to find our ride which was Naru. Once both were gone I walked to a chair and sat in it, putting my carry-on on top of my lap. Taking out my phone to look through some stuff I turned it on only to see Jack.
