"So Ron's hosting a pool party today and I wanted to know if you want to go with me."

"Is Mikey gonna be there?"

"Uh... Yes."

"Then no."

"Oh come on! You put up with him during the archery lesson!"

"Because it wasn't a social event. It was a lesson."

He sighs defeated. "He told me that he feels really bad and that he's really sorry."

"Well then why doesn't he just say sorry to me in person." I say sounding like the answer to this issue is simple.

"He wants to, but he knows that you'll just run away."

"True." I say agreeing with Carl's statement.

"So, are you gonna go? Today's supposed to be really hot."

I sigh. "Fine. I'll at least hear him out, but I'm not talking to him.

"I'll take it." He chuckles a little and so do I. His smile blinds my eyes like a sunrise.

"It starts at 1:00 and its," Carl leans over to look at the time on the DVR, "12:00." He leans back in his spot and looks at me again.

"Ok, well I'll head home now and get ready and meet you in an hour ok?"

"Can't wait." He ends the conversation with a kiss on my lips. It feels almost impossible to pull away from his sweet lips, but before I knew it, it was over. We both pull back and I get up and I flash him a sweet smile. I wave goodbye, as does he, as I walk out the door.

I scramble through my small amount of clothes searching for a bathing suit at home. I think to myself if I even own one anymore. Sure enough, dug deep down in my last drawer there was my blue body glove top and a purple and blue splattered bandeau bikini. I quickly strip and slide the bathing suit on being it was about 12:58.

I walk into the deck area late where the pool is located. A medium sized rectangular pool sits in the middle of the stone yard with a a few white cushioned lounge chairs off to the right side, and a barbecue to the left with a deck table and four gray chairs.

"Wow, these people really know how to live." I think to myself. It's pretty shocking how nice everything looks.

I spot Violet, Mikey, and Joey sitting on the sides of the lounge chairs facing each other. He holds up a rack of beer cans in his left hand smiling while pointing to it. The other two turn around to face me smiling.

"Shit." I think to myself. "This isn't going to end well."

Carl waves to me from in the pool while brushing his hair back out of his face. Water trickles down his face and now his toned body as he steps out of the pool and walks over to me. He once again smoothes his right hand through his hair and sways his other hand by his side as he takes each step. My heart beats lightning fast and I get choked up. Damn was he toned. His arms and legs were decently muscular and his core was a very defined six pack. I couldn't stop starring at him, it was as if my eyes were glued to his muscular build. Although, one thing left me to be very curious. A scar pierced through Carl's left side in the middle. Must have hurt whatever happened. Questions soared through my mind like Hawks searching for food.

My trance is broke by Carl's deep and familiar voice. "Whatcha starring at?"

"N-nothing." I look up at his chuckling face and blush intently feeling my cheeks get super red and hot. "So is Enid coming?" I ask trying to act cool again after he just broke me.
