You parked your car in front of a small blue house on Sherry Dr. "thanks again kid.. uh.. wanna come in?" You turned the car off. "Why not." And got out to help the lazy skeleton with the groceries and clothes. "SANS! I GOT MY UNIFORM TODAY!!!" A loud voice called from upstairs. "that's neat bro. come down so me and my new friend can see." New friend? Were you friends with Sans? All you did was run a few errands for the guy. "NEW FRIEND!?" A much, much taller skeleton came bolting down the stairs. He was wearing a dark blue uniform with black shoes and the usual police hat one gets when going into the profession.  "WONDERFUL NEWS BROTHER! YOU HAVEN'T MADE A NEW FRIEND IN SO VERY LONG! IT'S NICE TO MEET YOU MISS, I'M THE GREAT OFFICER PAPYRUS, AT YOUR SERVICE!!" He shook your hand excitedly. "Uh.. [Y/N].." His boundless enthusiasm and energy was the opposite of what you'd expected. If anything you thought he'd be more like.. you glanced at Sans. Then yet, he was becoming a police officer and made Sans do all those errands. The brothers were most likely polar opposites. "I remember hearing something about food." Papyrus beamed. "OH YES! I, THE GREAT OFFICER PAPYRUS, SHALL FIX YOU SOMETHING TO EAT!" The skeleton darted in the direction of the kitchen.

🏁🏁🏁

"Woah.."
"yeah.. he's a lot at first, but he's a real good guy." Sans promised. "I can tell, I like him." If he wasn't going for law, he'd make a great street racer. Sans quirked a bonebrow. "really? many think he can be a bit.. much."
"Not at all! All that passion is well spent! He's going to make a great officer and dangerous adversary." You were kind of looking forward to the day.. "that's right, your a racer. almost forgot." Sans chuckled. "pap would appreciate your praise." Sans carried the basket of clothes upstairs while you dropped the groceries off in the kitchen where it looked like Papyrus was murdering tomatoes. You decided not to question it. From there you waited on the couch for your friend, you supposed, to return. You pulled out your phone to see if you'd gotten any texts. After your stunt the other night, they were bound to be worried. Sure enough, 33 unread text messages and 6 missed calls. Crap. You Dailey your mom's number and explained what happened and that you were fine and that your phone was still on silent so you didn't get distracted during the race. All of which was true. They were just fine knowing you were ok.

🏁🏁🏁

"family?" You jumped and turned to see Sans lazing next to you. "Parents." You replied. "sounded pretty worried. scare the crap outta them or something?"
"Something like that.. it was unintentional, but comes with.. uh.. being me." He nodded. "i get it." He hauled himself off the couch. "welp. foods done and pap is waiting."
"Coming!" You hopped up yourself, following the lazy brother into the kitchen. "JUST IN TIME! I WAS ABOUT TO CALL YOU BOTH DOWN!"
"i got that spaghetti sense bro, no spiders about it." You nearly burst out laughing while Papyrus looked confused. "ANYWAY.. STRANGENESS ASIDE, BON-"
"-e."
"APPÉTIT.." Papyrus was glaring at Sans now who grinned innocently. "You two are great." Both skeletons blushed, not expecting the complement as you took your seat. "not to bad yourself, kid." Sans recovered first, shooting a complement back. "I.. THE GREAT PAPYRUS.. HAVE A FAN..?" You tried the spaghetti. Despite the murder scene earlier, it wasn't bad either. "Mm. That's good, Papyrus." Papyrus squealed and you grew visibly concerned. "You ok ma-"
"I, THE GREAT PAPYRUS, HAVE A FAN!!" You looked at Sans who seemed to be basking in Papyrus' happiness. So.. this was normal, got it. You relaxed. "Number one fan." You decided to keep that going, because Papyrus was great and needed the encouragement.

🏁🏁🏁

"ya really made him happy back there." Sans followed you out to the livingroom after lunch. "So I did." You replied simply. "i appreciate it. pap don't have many friends, and if you couldn't tell earlier, nor do i."
"I don't see why not. You're really friendly and practically harmless." Sans seemed amused by that. "i guess. being the last of our species though.. living skeletons probably freak people out." You looked curiously to Sans. "Your the last of your species?"
"see any other skeletons running around the place?" He mused. "Good point."
"BROTHER! FRIEND! THE MAYOR IS COMING OVER TODAY TO CONGRATULATE ME ON PASSING INTO THE POLICE ACADEMY! ISN'T THAT GREAT?!" We both looked to Papyrus. "What?"
"when bro?" There was a knock on the door. "NOW!"
