1 week later
Sans paced as he waited for Asgore and his racer. They luckily didn't keep him waiting to long though, as two cars pulled up and parked, Asgore coming out of one. The one who came out of the other... was the officer who'd arrested [Y/N]. The motivation was definitely there now. "rules?"
"Try not to break any laws except for the speed limit. Whoever makes it to the prison on the other side wins."
"how fitting.." It was do or die. That prison was the center of it all, anyway you look at it. [Y/N]'s freedom or my arrest.
🏁🏁🏁
"Here, Gaster." Something was slipped to the skeleton. "I hope Whoever you are after is worth it. That'll garentee you a life sentence." Gaster smirked. "This will be well worth it. I promise you."
"Not a word to the cops, man or you'll be the next to go." The person in question got up, walking away from the skeleton. Gaster rolled his eyelights. As if. He stashed the drug away. It was the 'lethal injection' drug, only instead of killing her quickly, it would be slow. Oh how Gaster was going to enjoy this.
🏁🏁🏁
Officer Thompson, as he was called, and I were lined up and ready to race. We revved the engines, letting the mayor know we were ready. He counted down, obviously he'd never been to one of his kids races before there's lot easier ways to start a race than counting, and when he hit zero we were off down the mountain and to the prison. This guy was surprisingly fast, and wasn't making it easy for me to pass. No doubt, he knew the fastest route there too. But racing isn't always about speed. Skill plays a factor too.
🏁🏁🏁
Gaster was bidding his time, waiting for when he could be alone with [Y/N]. Why exactly did Gaster wanna kill [Y/N]? Well, it was all because of Sans. It was ALWAYS because of Sans. Sans was supposed to be his successor, to inherent his laboratory but he would rather be off RACING. Gaster tried to see what was so fun about it, he didn't get it. So he made it stop by taking out the mayor's children. Sans believes otherwise, but power isn't everything. When he confronted Gaster, Gaster told him the truth, he told him that he needed him to stop this racing bull. But it only served to get him arrested. Sans had betrayed him. Now Gaster was going to make that boys life a living hell. Sans had taken everything from Gaster. His family, his company, his life. Gaster was ready to do the same.
🏁🏁🏁
At some point in time, the officer and I went different directions. It didn't particularly bother me, but it made my anxious. That anxiety racers get when it's an all or nothing stake. And it was. My girl and my freedom was on the line. I switched gears and rounded a corner. I couldn't let it bother me to much or it lapse my judgment. I can't afford to make a mistake here. I've gotta win. In a few more turns, he was in my line of veiw again, thank the stars, but so was the prison. I accelerated, looking for any way to get passed him, any sort of... boost. That trailer would do. I shot up the ramp of a car trailer, and went flying above my gawking opponent. I crashed to the ground, and took the lead, assuring my victory.
🏁🏁🏁
Sleep was hard for you to come by, knowing that the guy in the cell next door wanted to kill you. He'd sounded so confident about it too, it had you concerned. Gaster had finally gotten you alone when you were doing laundry. "What do you want?" You tried to put some distance between yourself and Gaster, but that proved fruitless as he cornered you. "I want to say goodbye. After today, you won't have to worry about a thing.." He pulled out a syringe full of clear liquid.
🏁🏁🏁
"Where is inmate D-1016?" Thompson asked some security guy or another. "Laudry, I believe. It's her chore today." Having been here before, I teleported to the laundry room in time to see [Y/N] struggling against Gaster as he tried to shove a needle into her. Like hell I was letting that happen. With a ping, I threw Gaster into the wall and ran over to my girl. "vixen!"
"Sans!?" She asked incredulously. "i'm here now, i'm here. did he hurt you in any way?" She shook her head. "You got that whole 'in the nick of time' thing down pat."
🏁🏁🏁
Gaster stood up shakily, hand firmly around the syringe. "She's not leaving here alive."
"yes she is." Sans stood protectively in front of you, glaring at Gaster. "You're in police domain, you've already lost." Gaster stepped closer, just as an officer came in. "Stop where you are!" Gaster froze, smirking. "Drop the needle!" He did. Sans, was also smirking. "actually... i won." He put an arm around you and started leading you out. The officer didn't stop you. "nice race, thompson. we should do it again." The officer nodded. "Likewise."
🏁🏁🏁
Sans caught you up on everything that happened after you were arrested. It was... whew. It was quite the story, but it had gotten you free, racing legalized, and Sans happy, so you were good with it. "So what next?" Sans looked at you. "well a kiss would be nice."
"You could just ask." You snickered, kissing your boyfriend anyway.
That seems like a good stopping place. Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoyed it! Have a great morning/afternoon/night!
