Sans POV

"She's going to be fine." Those were some of the best words I'd ever heard in my life. I nearly broke down crying like Dogamy and Dogaressa did. I had a couple more questions though. "h-how bad was the damage? w-what else should i know..?" I asked with a shaking voice. Stars what if she had anmisia or was paralyzed or something else that could be life altering? I wouldn't mind it, but how would she feel? Nobody ever thinks of how it affects the person affected. That was the most important aspect though. "Most of the physical damage is being healed by our best healing magic users. We won't know any major affects though until she wakes up." The doctor replied. "h-how long until then?" They shook their head. "We don't know, we will certainly let you know when it happens though." They promised.

🏁🏁🏁

After the doc left I stepped out for some fresh air. Having waited long enough, I sat on a bench outside the hospital and dialed Pap's number. "SANS!? WHERE IN STARS NAME ARE YOU?! IT'S ALMOST MORNING!" Looking out at the sky, it was about pre-dawn. Frisk would have to leave soon. "th-there was an accident pap.." He went silent on his end of the line. "WHO WAS IT..?" I could hear the fear and uncertainty in his voice. He likely had an idea on who it was, judging on my wavering voice. "[Y/N]. sh-she's gonna be ok, the doc told us that, but she's not awake yet... i just wanted to let you know.."
"I'm sorry you're going through this, brother. I'm on my way."
"thanks bud... you really don't have to, if you don't want to.."
"OF COURSE I'M COMING! SHE'S MY FRIEND TOO, AND YOUR MY BROTHER! YOU BOTH NEED SUPPORT! I'LL SEE YOU IN A BIT." He was coming whether I liked it or not, it was probably a good thing. "love you, see you soon."
"LOVE YOU TOO, GOOD BYE." With that, the call ended. I stood up. Should probably say bye to the kid before they leave.

🏁🏁🏁

"I'm not leaving." I looked at the determined teen. "what about your parents, if you're caught here, what will they do?" They shook their head. "It doesn't matter. I'm staying here until [Y/N] wakes up." They replied stubbornly. I wasn't going to argue. They were 16 and old enough to make their own decisions. "i'm going to wait for pap then. let me know if there's any change?" They nodded. "Of course, Sans." I stepped out, awaiting my brother. Within 15 minutes both he and Grillby were exiting a Mazda and rushing over. Papyrus didn't hesitate to scoop me up and carry me inside. "I'm sorry I'm late." He apologized immediately. I kinda just curled into Papyrus lap and sat there, trying to recover and compose myself. Stars, I could only imagine how the dogs felt..

🏁🏁🏁

I'd eventually started pacing again. I needed to move. I need to keep busy. I only stopped when the doctor came back. "She's awake and eager to see all of you. It seems she'll be making a smooth recovery." They explained. They lead us down the hall and to the small room, they tried to keep it to relatives only, but as far as we are concerned, we are all family. It didn't work out well, say the least. The dog couple and I rounded into the room, and there she was... smiling at us. "Heya guys, how ya doing?"
