(2 months later)

I loved my job. It was perfect. She was perfect. I would be lying if I said I hadn't developed feelings for my boss, but can you blame me? She's the cutest, strongest, most fascinating person I've ever met. The way she bites her lip when she thinks, or how she signs every email to me with a smiley face, only makes the feelings stronger.

"Good morning Ms Venable," I smiled, and placed her coffee in front of her.

"Good morning y/n. What are you wearing tonight?" She frowned slightly, looking at her laptop.

"I'm sorry?" I laughed, completely confused.

"The party? You haven't forgotten, have you?" She raised an eyebrow, making my heart drop down to my vagine.

"I have forgotten," I laughed, making her sigh, as if waiting for my explanation, "but I'm not attending anyway,"

"Yes you are," she said quickly, "attendance is mandatory," she added at the end, and a slight blush crept across her face and down her neck. I really wanted to know how far down that blush went.

"Well then, I guess I'm going,"

"Yes," she nodded.

"I'll probably just wear a dress then," I sighed, and sat down at my desk, "what about you Ms Venable?"

"Oh just a dress," she smiled a little.

"Well I'm sure you'll look gorgeous as always," I smiled back, making her blush and look down again.

"I'm not gorgeous," she whispered, before pushing her chair out from under her desk, and leaving the room in silence.

I listened, as I heard the sound of her cane fade into nothingness and shook my head.

I was only telling the truth. I thought she really was gorgeous. How her red hair falls down her back, how her face was literally perfect, and how her thing glasses sat delicately on the bridge of her nose.

I figured she would come back to the office when she calmed down, but she never did.

Ms Venable had left me at ten am, and it was now four pm. I took a look around the offices, but no one had seen her, so I figured she had left. With no more work, and no distractions, I left work an hour early to go and get ready for this party.
