Yep. Wilhelmina was high. It was funny but also terrifying. The painkillers they used for her operation hadn't even started to wear off yet, but her spine was straight, so I think she was happy.

"Y/n?!" She screamed, as I put her down on the bed.

"Yes sweetheart?" I replied gently.

"THERES A SQUIRREL ON THE BED!!!" She pointed to the empty bed and screamed again.

"Mina, there's no squirrel," I smiled softly, and tried to lay her down.

"YES THERE IS!!! LOOK AT IT!!!" Again, she pointed to the empty bed. Mina was much taller now, it was sorta weird.

"Wilhelmina, sweetheart. There's no squirrel,"

"YES THERE IS AND ITS CHRISTMAS JUMPER IS TOO BIG FOR IT!!" She started to cry, like actually cry.

"Mina, shhh," I sat down on the sofa in our room, and put her in my lap, rocking her softly, "I'll take the squirrel out, OK? And then you need to go to bed,"

"OK," she sobbed, holding onto me. But when I tried to move her, she was already asleep on me, so I just decided to let her stay on me.

After not being able to feel my legs, I spun us round so I could lay down with her on top of me. After snaking my arms around her waist to make sure she wouldn't fall or roll off the sofa, I sighed quietly, and fell asleep too.

"Please don't go Wilhelmina," I sobbed, as she started to slip away.

"Y... y/n," she croaked and held onto me, tighter.

"What is it Mina?"

"I love you," she whispered. And then silence.

"Wilhelmina," I shook her a little, "Wilhelmina. WILHELMINA WAKE UP! WAKE UP WILHELMINA!" But nothing. She was gone.

I woke up hyperventilating, with Mina still on me. A quick look at her told me she was still breathing and it was all just a dream.

"Please never leave me Mina," I whispered shakily.
